Ending my last Christmas market sipping tea from one of my mugs (a reject of course, I only keep my rejects 🙈).
When I look back at the last 12 months I cannot believe how much has changed. What started as an intro course to get me out the house and spend some time being creative soon became an obsession, then a very serious hobby and now a very small but wonderful business. I am so bloody proud of myself! A lot of people don’t realise that behind my constant chatter and ‘confident’ persona I’m an anxious mess who has constantly seeked approval in anything I’ve ever done which has often led to me giving up at the first hurdle. I have been so so determined to make pottery work for me, I’ve put the time in and worked so hard to experiment and push myself creatively.
Next month will be two years since I first touched clay. This year I have sold more of my creations than I could ever have hoped for. The markets were nerve wracking for me but every smile, kind comment and sale has made me believe in myself more and more. The thought of someone enjoying their favourite hot drink out of one of my mugs makes me so happy! I am really overwhelmed with gratitude and I’m so excited for 2026. I already have plans for my work to be in some local Cornish shops along with an order of mugs for a wonderful local business. So Merry Christmas and THANK YOU! Expect to see many more mugs, makes and chicken plates! 🐓❤️🎄 supportlocalartists
