So we never cut corners or sub-contract; we only use the highest quality products and the latest, 99% dust-free sanding technology, and our process is painstaking. While wood is obviously the heart of what we do, our overall approach is rigorous and comprehensive. We take care of everything. From first assessment and covering walkways, through floor-preparation and taking moisture readings, to remedying loose or damaged boards: our attention to detail matches the quality of our products and the craft which we constantly hone. And that’s before we even begin. Once floors have been stripped and sanded to remove the old finish, we gradually sand, from aggressive to finer grades, ending with a smooth finish which is usually the result of at least five grades of abrasive, gap-filling – if required – as we go, cleaning between each grade, using rotary disc sanders to remove scratch patterns. Nothing is overlooked, whether it’s in corners, behind radiators, around thresholds. If it means scraping by hand, that’s what we do, whatever it takes. We never rush the finishing, allowing the correct time for coats to dry, sanding between coats where necessary, to achieve the perfect finish. Before we leave, we advise on how best to care for your floors, both short- and long-term. Throughout the process, we respect the space in which we work as well as your time; we’ve held the Which?
