Friday's Jules and Jacquelyn's Art and verse.
Following last Christmas's foxes on ice, I've decided to do another Whimsical piece.
'perfecting the lift' 😆
We all know that famous scene don't we? 🦊🦊☺️🥰

Two Red Foxes were having
The time of their life
This warm Autumn day
Was too pretty for strife
They were there in the field
Practicing moves
From their favourite film
Getting into the groove
'Jump now, I've got you '
Said the Fox to his girl
Leap into my arms
Let's give it a whirl !
She leapt, and he caught her
And lifted her high
Over his head
And into the sky !
Held by his strong arms
She felt like she flew
Just like Supergirl
For a moment or two !
He had achieved it
He'd perfected the lift
This pair of Red Foxes
Were each other's gift

'Autumn walk' an acrylic painting I did years ago.
Thought I'd share ths beautiful poem written by Jacquelyn Allsop to accompany this piece,
SOLD*****

I'm grateful for the countryside,
For quietness and calm
I'm grateful for the time we have
To go strolling arm in arm
I'm grateful for the sunset
Orange, Amber, Pink and Gold
It comes from God's own paintbox
And never will grow old
I'm grateful for the greenfields
And for the gentle breeze
I hear it softly rustling
As it plays with all the Trees
I'm grateful for our friendship
That's grown throughout the years
For the smiles we've shared
As we've wiped each others tears
I'm grateful for my freedom
My sweet dog, and my health
Walking down this country lane
I'm experiencing true wealth
What I'm really trying to say Lord
Is, I'm grateful for it all
Trust in the higher powers
And life can be a ball!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone ❤️

High on a clifftop sat three Brown Hares
With nothing better to do than to pause and stare
At the beautiful vista that met their eyes
Waves lapping on sand, Swallows in the sky
The flowers were blooming in colours so bright
They covered the clifftop, a wonderful sight
Flaming red Poppies, Yellow Buttercups too
White clouds overhead and a Sea of blue
The three little Hares enjoyed the calm
Knew they were safe and would come to no harm
God's paintbox, they thought was a joy to behold
All three were content to let the day unfold

Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

In the woodland clearing
Beneath the Moons pale light
Around a cheery campfire
Four friends are met tonight
Scarecrow and Otis Otter
Copper Fox and Miss Hedgerow Hare
Are gathered all together
On the woodland ground so bare
Miss Hedgerow toasts to friendship
For three good ones she has found
And she toasts to new adventures
Who knows where they'll be bound ?
The wild blue yonder beckons
All four friends can hear the call
May they find the happiness they seek
We wish joy to one and all
