Salt Pots is a paint your own pottery studio in the UNESCO world heritage village of Saltaire. Drop in and paint a pot or book the studio for a party - we cater for parties for all ages - children, hen dos, art groups - we can cater for anyone in our 24 seat downstairs studio and our 18 seat dedicated party room. We also offer a service to capture your babies hand and foot prints and we take orders for personalised commissions. Examples of all of our work is available on our page.

Just a quick reminder on collecting your beautifully painted pots!

They are ready to collect 7 days* after you have painted them in our studio. So if you paint on a Sunday they will be ready the Sunday after.

We do not contact you in any way to confirm that are ready to collect.

When you paid on the day you painted you will have received a text message receipt. Please bring this with you for collection. If you are sending someone else to collect please forward your receipt onto them. We do not do collections by name. If you did not receive your receipt please email [email protected] with the details of your booking and we can resend this.

We keep pottery for 3 months .. after this time they will be given to one of our local charity shops.

*during busy times we may extend the collection times. We will let you know on payment and pop some signs up around the studio.
** our Ilkley site has a different collection process please check their collections instructions.

October Half Term is just around the corner and we’re ready for a week of creativity, colour and cosy family or friend time at Salt Pots of Saltaire.

From spooky Halloween designs to colourful keepsakes, pottery painting is a chance to slow down, get creative and make memories together.

Whether you’re looking for a fun family day out, meet up with friends, something to do on a rainy afternoon, or a creative break from the usual half-term activities, we’ve got hundreds of pottery pieces waiting to be painted. Suitable for all ages and abilities. No experience needed

Swap the screens for paintbrushes and join us at Salt Pots for some cosy pottery painting fun.

There’s something really special about watching children slow down, get creative, and make something completely their own. Whether it’s a mug, plate, animal figurine or keepsake, they’ll leave having created a piece they’re genuinely proud of – and a memory to go with it for you all.

Pottery painting is a chance to relax, chat, laugh, and let imaginations run wild. No experience needed, just pick your pottery and start creating.

Once you’ve finished painting, we’ll glaze and fire your masterpiece in our kiln, ready to collect 7 days later. All ages and ability very welcome!!
