This is an unusual set of antique unused pencil crayons in their original box. The image on the box is of boys in military uniform. The crayons were sourced in France but are probably German or Prussian. The helmet on the drummer boy is of a type used by the German army before 1916. A superb antique metallic beaded lace shawl that was probably originally the train of a wedding dress. Made circa 1910 in Alencon France. It was sourced in Le Mans. The piece has a base of pale gold metallic lace with silver grey opalescent glass beading in diagonal fronds across the lace. The overall effect is more silver than gold but it does change with the light. The outer edge is hemmed and the inner edge where it was salvaged tacked. It is quite heavy as there is so much beading. It would make a great project piece for an evening dress or wedding dress. Available from our (link in bio)
