The Scary Mary and Quite Contrary were separated yesterday for weaning to take place.

Quite Contrary was put in the field with the other ewe lambs and Mary was sent back to the hill

Oh look, by lunchtime today they had reunited themselves

There's a surprise 🤣🤣🤣

Always happy to make up a pack of yarn specifically to a knitter's requirement

This little bundle went out last week for a special knitting project.

Send me a message if you want something that's not available 'as standard' and if I can do it, I will!

And in another bizarre twist of events, it's Friday again

Listen up folks....a couple of dates for your diary!

A presentation on Colonsay's geology and an opportunity for a field excursion walk

Michael first visited Colonsay in 1992 for his mapping project as an undergraduate at the University of Leicester.

His research has continued on Colonsay over many visits during which he has supervised a PhD student's work, led field excursions for amateur groups, conducted his own work at Balnahard, and initiated recent work at Kiloran Bay.

His trip to Colonsay this month will mark his tenth visit and twenty first week on the island

During his stay Michael has very kindly agreed to share his insights and findings through an easily accessible evening presentation and a field trip the following Saturday

Shuffling Sheep and sorting lambs

Probably one of the girls' favourite jobs - lots of close contact work in the yard where they can show off their mastery over the sheep.

Always trying to keep the Seapink shelves stocked with knitted stuff

Another pair of Wrist Warmers finished.

Christine seems to sell at least one pair every session she does for me! And she's meant to be helping me 🤣🤣

And she sold 3 Colonsay Square Hats in one day last week !! 🤷‍♀️🙄

This is such a Gracie pose - I love it!

Bum in the air, full concentration up front

She uses it for sheep work, rabbit-ing, rat-ing and quite often in the house when chewing stuff

This is the boys coming in yesterday for a foot check.
