Black Horse Farm Flowers

Black Horse Farm Flowers Looking after the soil, flora, fauna and funga, and mini beasts.

Imported flowers often have a massive negative environmental impact & I decided to provide an alternative growing beautiful scented flowers with the environment at the heart of operations.

More plants will be coming with me to the tomorrow. This time, there are chillies, tomatoes, and a perennial climbing spinach. All unusual veg. This is in addition to my flowers.

Spring flowers - I love this moody combination, hellibores and bluebells all grown by me.

Seed sowing in soil blocks workshop at Black Horse Farm Flowers, Killington, Sedbergh
🗓 Saturday 2nd May, 10 am until midday

We are running a small informal workshop on how to make soil blocks, sow seds into them, and care for your little plants. This method of sowing seeds needs less compost, reduces transplant shock when planted in their final home, and, as a bonus, uses less plastic.

Would anyone be interested in a workshop making soil blocks and sowing seeds?

It's the time of year when we play seedling jenga 🤣. Unusual tomato plants will come with me to at the end of April. And there will be some perennial veg such as a climbing spinach, later on, when they are bigger, for sale.
