Oaks Flooring are a family run independent flooring specialist based in Sevenoaks & Tunbridge Wells Kent. Ian Hopson (Director) started the company in 1995 and we have been trading from our current showroom since 2001, we offer a comprehensive flooring service from sales to installation. Our fitters are all very experienced and have been with us for a number of years, we only do local advertising

and most of our work still comes from recommendations. A visit to our modern showrooms to view our many ranges of carpets and wood flooring would be the best way to select your new flooring, we do offer a home call service were we will be happy to visit your home or office to provide a free no obligation quotation. With over 35 years experience we offer the highest retail selling standards and provide you with absolute reassurance when purchasing flooring from us. Professionally installed.

Meet Ian — the face behind the business and the founder of Oaks Flooring 👏

Back in 1995, Ian took a huge leap of faith and opened a small flooring shop in New Eltham, built on hard work, honesty, and a genuine passion for helping customers find the perfect flooring for their homes and businesses. What started as a small local business has grown over the years into Oaks Flooring as it is today with three branches, a fully stocked warehouse, and a fantastic team that Ian is incredibly proud of.

Despite how much the business has grown, Ian has always believed in keeping the same friendly, family-run values that Oaks Flooring was built on from day one. For him, it has never just been about flooring it’s about people. Ian strongly believes that when you look after your staff, they’ll look after your customers, and that philosophy has helped create the welcoming, knowledgeable team that customers know and trust today.

Nearly 30 years on, Ian is still just as passionate about the business as he was when he first opened the doors in 1995, and he remains proud to serve the local community that has supported Oaks Flooring throughout the journey.

Now moving into semi-retirement, Ian is enjoying spending more time with his grandchildren and squeezing in plenty of rounds of golf whenever he can. But don’t worry he’s still floating around the business, always happy to pop in, have a chat, and keep a close eye on the company.
