If you’re planning to sell before Christmas, now is the time to prepare.

A beautifully presented home rarely comes together through a last-minute tidy before the photographer arrives.

Preparing a property properly takes time and a considered eye.

It means looking carefully at what should remain, what may need to be removed, how the furniture is positioned, where the space needs breathing room, and which finishing layers will help the home feel warm, balanced and inviting.

Through The Signature Property Edit, I work with the home you already have - refining its presentation through thoughtful editing, considered layout and carefully curated styling.
The intention is not to make your home feel unfamiliar. It is to help it feel like the most resolved and desirable version of itself, ready to photograph beautifully, show effortlessly and create an immediate connection with prospective buyers.

If you’re hoping to bring your property to market this autumn, September is the time to begin.

Before adding anything new, I always look at what can be edited first.

What can be removed.
What can be repositioned.
What needs breathing space.
What deserves to be highlighted.
What is interrupting the calm.

This is where my work begins — not with adding more, but with understanding what a space already has and how it can be brought together with more intention.

For a lived-in home, this might mean creating a calmer, more resolved room through The Refined Living Edit.

For a home preparing for sale, it might mean shaping a space that feels clearer, warmer and easier for buyers to connect with through The Signature Property Edit.

Different purposes, same considered eye.

Often, a home does not need more things.
It needs a more thoughtful edit.

If you’re ready for your home to feel truly resolved, I’d love to work with you.

The details I always notice.

A recent visit to Canterbury was a reminder that memorable spaces are rarely created by one element alone.

The craftsmanship in an old timber door.
The repetition within a vaulted ceiling.
The scale of the architecture.

The smaller details you could so easily walk past.

Together, they create character, rhythm and a sense of place.

It’s something I’m always conscious of when styling interiors too - looking beyond the individual pieces and considering how every detail contributes to the way a space feels.

Because often, it’s the quietest details that make the biggest impression.

The kitchen is often the heart of the home - especially as we move towards the busier months of the year.

It is where people gather, where hosting begins, and where the feeling of a home is often most deeply experienced.

Preparing your home before Christmas does not always mean a full redesign. Sometimes it is about refining the spaces you already have - improving flow, softening the details, editing what feels busy, and creating a home that feels calm, considered and ready to be enjoyed.

For homes that feel almost there, but need bringing together.

If you’re ready for your home to feel truly resolved, I’d love to work with you.

A beautifully furnished home can still feel unfinished.

Not because it needs more - but because it needs a more considered edit.

The Refined Living Edit is designed for homes with good foundations: pieces you love, spaces you use, and interiors that already have potential - but need bringing together with greater balance, softness and intention.

Through layout, texture, proportion and finishing details, we refine what is already there so your home feels calmer, more cohesive and beautifully resolved.

For homes that feel almost there, but not quite complete.

If this sounds like your space, I’d love to help you bring it together.

A well-styled room is never accidental.

Before anything is added, there is a process - understanding the room, observing the light, considering the proportions, defining the feeling, and identifying what is already working.

From there, the styling begins with intention.

Textures are layered to create warmth.
Objects are edited to create balance.
Details are introduced to bring the room together.

This is how a styling concept begins - not with more, but with a considered eye and a clear direction.

The Refined Living Edit is designed for homes with good foundations that need bringing together through thoughtful styling, balance and finishing detail.

A room can have good foundations and still not feel fully resolved.

Often, it is not about adding more. It is about understanding what is interrupting the calm - the balance, the texture, the flow, the lighting, and the final details that help everything feel connected.

This is where the edit matters.

A room can possess a solid foundation yet lack a sense of completeness.

Often, it's not about adding more elements, but rather identifying the factors that disrupt the harmony - the balance, texture, flow, lighting, and final details that foster a sense of cohesion.

This is where the editing process plays a crucial role.

The Refined Living Edit is specifically designed for homes that are already cherished, but require a discerning eye to bring the space to fruition.

For rooms that are almost, but not quite, complete. DM “REFINED” to inquire.

As July comes to a close...

It's easy to celebrate the finished projects, the launches, the milestones and the visible moments.

But behind every beautiful outcome are the quieter ones.

The planning.
The thinking.
The refining.

The countless decisions made behind the scenes.

As this month draws to an end, I'm reminding myself that creativity also needs space to breathe.

Moments of peace.
Moments of stillness.
Moments where home allows us to pause, reset and think clearly.

Sometimes it's the simplest details- a favourite candle, soft lighting, carefully chosen textures or meaningful objects- that gently encourage us to slow down.

Because our homes shouldn't only look beautiful.

They should help us feel grounded, inspired and at ease.

Here's to closing July with gratitude... and welcoming August with fresh ideas, renewed creativity and a little more calm.
