Christmas Wreath Workshop – Spaces Are Filling!

Fancy creating your very own beautiful Christmas wreath this year? There are still spaces available at our Christmas Wreath Workshops, but some dates are now getting very close to full!

A June wedding at Mythe Barn…

Emily’s wedding flowers were all about soft romance, beautiful texture and those little details that make a bouquet feel completely personal.

For her bridal bouquet, Stephanie brought together Roses, Spray Roses, Peonies ‘Lizzy’, Astilbe, Clematis ‘Ralphie’, Lavender, Stocks and Eucalyptus foliage — a beautiful mix of classic blooms and looser, more natural elements.

And we love how the soft ivory flowers are punctuated by those delicate touches of lilac and purple in the bridesmaids’ bouquets. Finished with flowing pale blue and ivory ribbons, there’s something wonderfully elegant about the whole collection.

Set against the countryside surroundings of Mythe Barn , it all feels rather at home. Mythe Barn’s combination of rustic character and contemporary style makes a gorgeous backdrop for a summer wedding.

Yes, we know it’s September. But let’s talk Christmas…

Well, December anyhow.

We’ve been busy at HQ getting this year’s Christmas Wreath Workshops planned, and we’ve been having some lovely conversations with people about who they’re bringing along.

And this is what we love about these workshops. They’re not just about making a wreath.

They’re a reason to get a group of friends together. A little family outing. A treat for someone. Or perhaps, if you choose one of our later December dates, a new little tradition to add to your actual Christmas.

We even have one lovely lady coming to us twice this year to make two wreaths. We can’t wait to see what she creates!

So, if you’ve been meaning to get your group together, here’s a little look at what’s still available:

Well, apparently it’s Autumn. Officially.

Today, 1st September, marks the first day of meteorological autumn — and, rather conveniently, there’s a little nip in the air to back it up.

We’re taking that as our cue to start thinking about autumn colour, beautiful textures and the loveliest excuse for a Friday morning out of the ordinary.

Our Autumn Wreath Workshop takes place on Friday 9th October at 10am, in our cosy Shearsby Studio.

☀️ Sorry to interrupt your regularly scheduled summer... ☀️

We know. It's July. You're thinking BBQs, holidays, garden evenings and ice cream... not baubles and berries. 🎄😄

But... here's a little reality check.

It's just 19 weeks until the beginning of December, and if the last few months have taught us anything, it's that time has a habit of disappearing in the blink of an eye!

What a lovely day we had in the studio this week for Peony Madness 🌸

Guests arrived to tea, coffee and homemade Highland biscuits (always a favourite), before Stephanie kicked things off with a little peony talk and a live bouquet demonstration.

Everyone then headed upstairs to create their own hand-tied peony arrangements, with plenty of guidance along the way and lots of beautiful flowers to work with.

We paused halfway for cake, Pimms and a bit of a “Summer at Steph’s” moment — even if the weather outside didn’t quite agree!

The afternoon finished with everyone completing their vases and heading home with the most gorgeous peony bouquets.

A really relaxed, happy day in the studio… and we even had a couple of workshop bookings for later in the year made on the spot, which is always lovely (and we're thankful for).

Here we are looking back at Sunday’s beautiful wedding at Mythe Barn — and this one was truly something special.

A gorgeous woodland-inspired celebration that one of the guests perfectly described as the “Enchanted Forest look” — and it really did feel like that from start to finish.

We provided full floristry for the day, including the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, ceremony flowers for the altar and aisle, wedding cake florals, and table arrangements throughout the reception.

The colour palette of purples, whites, pinks and fresh greens came to life through a rich mix of seasonal flowers and foliage — roses, peonies, hydrangeas, alliums, stocks, daisies, tulips, spray roses, veronica, snapdragons, campanula, asparagus fern, ruscus, umbrella fern and viburnum. All layered together to create that soft, natural, woodland feel.

One of those days that just stays with you… 🌸

A sunny Friday in April, the studio full of flowers, and a bride alongside her two friends creating her wedding florals together — the day before she walked down the aisle.

From bouquet to bridesmaids, buttonholes to table flowers, everything was made by hand using beautiful, seasonal blooms. It was busy (very busy!), but such a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

There was plenty of concentration… plenty of laughter… a few bubbles along the way… and yes, some excellent bridal headbands (I was very much encouraged to join in!).

It’s days like this that remind us how special it is to be part of someone’s wedding in such a personal way — not just providing the flowers, but helping create the experience around them.
