🏺S T I L L L I F E 🍊
I LOVE a still life. A vase of flowers, a candlestick, fruit, a coffee pot, all gorgeous everyday items. I love to arrange a scene. I love an unarranged scene. A table stunning tablescape - nothing better.
These bags were a labour of love, but also a quite a meditative process, which is important to make time for amongst a pile of linen dresses. I had made the velvet bags for a project that didn’t come to fruition, and so had these large canvases to play with. I started cutting the scraps from our linen pieces and this is where we ended up. I love them! They took bloody ages and they’re for nothing! But also for everything! - they’re huge! Weekend bags. Works of art. Appliquéd still lives.
Full scene or one vase?
I’m not sure how i’ll price these, or even if they’re sellable items, but i loved making them.
