From ceremony to celebration.
S&J’s ceremony flowers were designed around a very specific brief: abundant, modern and beautifully rounded. Full, sculptural arrangements with a strong silhouette, with hydrangeas playing a starring role throughout.
And then came the small challenge of the hottest day of the year…
I felt like a superhero keeping those hydrangea alive and after the ceremony we moved the arrangements to the family orchard for the wedding breakfast. The same statement flowers took on a completely different feel surrounded by the trees and dappled summer light, creating a beautiful transition from ceremony to dinner.
I love designing flowers with the whole day in mind. Considered, abundant and modern, but always with the setting and the practicalities of the day at the heart of the design.
