Our aim is to support and develop traditional pottery skills and add a contemporary design ethos to produce functional pots for everyday use. We design and make our pots in St Ives, Cornwall from locally sourced materials using traditional techniques. We throw and turn our pots on Leach kick wheels using only the power of the human leg. As avid foodies we believe that beautiful ceramics enhance the pleasure of eating good food with the colours and textures of each pot complimenting every drink and dish. Sharing food with your friends on unique handmade pots connects you to a tradition which stretches back over 10,000 years. Each pot goes through six stages before it is ready to be enjoyed; preparing the clay, throwing the pot, turning the base, biscuit firing, glazing and glaze firing. It’s a skilful, labour intensive process which we believe creates a beautiful, tactile product which can be treasured for years to come.
