Last weeks job was to replace the laminate and vinyl flooring with floor tiles.

1st job was to take the old flooring up, remove the toilet and sink, and prepare the floor for the tiles.
As you can see from the photos it looks amazing.

So things have been a little quiet in January and February, which is to be expected. I have been busy with some smaller jobs this month.
One of them is a friends bathroom. Starting off with insulating the wall for extra warmth and adding some cladding to finish the look.
Replacing not 1 but 4 different toilets in 2 weekends, long story, hairline crack, very big crack, they didn't like the 3rd choice and happy with the final one. Also, plumbing in a new sink and cabinet. Mirror with LED back lighting. (Electrics were already there) I think you can see from the photos it is starting to look amazing.

It's been a month of smaller jobs for January. A few jobs are ongoing, so I will do an update once they are complete.

This job was for a returning customer who wanted new kick boards and end panels. You may recognise the tiles from a job I did earlier in the year for this customer.

A returning customer for this job.

A kitchen upgrade on the old work top, sink, and hob for a new walnut solid wood worktop, sink, tap, and hob (The hob was disconnected and reconnected by a gas safe engineer)

If you are in any doubt, these work tops are very heavy. My arms ached for a few days afterwards.

The customer chose a new modern sink design, with the tap sitting into the worktop rather than the sink. This means they have more usable worktop space.
The bi-fold door sits nicely in the worktop from the cut-out section, ensuring the door opens easily without catching the work top.

So a couple of busy weeks have passed.

This job was to help a lady who had been left in the lurch by a plumber who had as from the 1st 2 photos left the bathroom unusable.

1st job to correct the plumbing as it wasn't central for the shower. Once this was done, I could start the tiling. The tiles are the same for the floor and the walls.

I installed the sink and toilet unit, then moved on to fitting the shower and enclosure. A mains shower was installed.

The customer has chosen to fit their own skirting board.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been a bit busy.

The customer wanted to replace the bathroom suite. (Forgot to take photos of before)
The old suite was removed to make way for the new one.
An L shaped bath has been installed along with a wall hung sink with draw storage.
The customer opted for wall panelling instead of tiles. The ceiling has also been panelled and new spotlights installed to finish the look.
A chrome mixer shower and shower screen have been replaced with new ones.
The towel radiator has been reinstalled, and a new chrome fan has been installed.
A demisting mirror, with lights and bluetooth, has been added to give a sleek finish.
The customer went for a bathroom friendly click floor.

This job was done in and around my working week for my Godson.
He wanted to make the most of the space in his bedroom. He went for a platform bed on top of the bulk head of the stairs. This also gives extra storage with a cupboard underneath.
Fitted wardrobes with sliding doors behind the door make the use of this alcove, I added some shelving to make the space more useful.
A blind, shelving, desk, blind and projector were also fitted.

Last week was a removel of some very rotten sleepers and the building of a new garden wall.
The customer chose a contrast of bricks to complement the colour of the bricks on the house. I added some pillars for details and installed a new step to give easy access to the garden.
I also put an edging trim round the garden to neaten up the borders.
