It's a new month - where are all of our October babies?
If you were born in the month of October - you have two birth flowers; the cosmos and the marigold.
Both full of meaning and absolutely beautiful!
Marigold:
Originally named "Mary’s Gold" after early Christian traditions of placing the flowers around statues of the Virgin Mary. Symbolically, the marigold represents warmth, fierce devotion, passion, and creativity, reflecting the sun’s power.
Due to its long-lasting petals and resilient nature, it also carries deeper associations with remembrance, endurance, and sacred protection - famously serving as a central element in cultural celebrations like Mexico's Día de los Mu***os to guide loved ones home!
Cosmos:
The cosmos is the official birth flower for October and traditional birth flower for the 2nd wedding anniversary. Derived from the Greek word kosmos, meaning "order," "harmony," or "universe”.
Today, the flower symbolises order, peace, balance, and deep love!
We have some gorgeous cosmos stems available over on our website and we love how they looked grouped together in a vase with some simple foliage.
Let us know in the comments if you have an October birthday!
