2025 was a year of loss and growth.
Of endings and beginnings that asked me to be brave.

It was a year of learning how to let go — of people, versions of myself, and stories that no longer fit.
A year of saying yes to a new business and a new job, even when fear was loud.
Of launching my website 🎉 and pushing myself creatively in ways that felt deeply uncomfortable… and deeply right.

All while being a solo parent to the most beautiful little human 🤍
Doing bedtime cuddles after long days, building dreams during nap times, choosing resilience again and again.

I created work I’m genuinely proud of.
And I fought self-sabotage every step of the way — showing up on social media even when I wanted to hide, trusting that my voice and my work deserve space.

2025 didn’t break me.
It stretched me, softened me, strengthened me.
And I’m walking into what’s next with more honesty, courage, and self-belief than ever before ✨

Thank you so much for supporting my work…
My launch was a raging success and taught me to have more faith in my work…. And I can’t wait to see what comes next…..💚

HAPPY SOLSTICE SISTERS

This painting personifies Winter as a goddess—still, watchful, and immense. She meets the viewer’s gaze directly, creating a moment of quiet exchange, as if Winter herself is transmitting her essence through eye contact: cold clarity, deep rest, and the slow intelligence of dormancy. Her stare is not harsh but inevitable, inviting surrender to the season’s rhythms rather than resistance.

Around her unfolds a snow-laden woodland suspended between life and pause. Hibernating hedgehogs, mice, and squirrels nestle into the earth and roots, embodying Winter’s mercy as much as her severity—the permission to withdraw, conserve, and dream beneath the frost. Above them, owls cut through the air, silent and precise, representing Winter’s sharper truth: survival, hunger, and the clear-eyed laws of nature that persist even in stillness.

The goddess stands as both guardian and force of reckoning. She presides over sleep and death, protection and predation, silence and vigilance. The painting explores Winter not as emptiness, but as a season of profound presence—a time when life turns inward, perception sharpens, and the natural world exists in a state of sacred tension. To look into her eyes is to accept Winter’s gift: endurance, clarity, and the quiet power of waiting.

“Winter”
Oil on canvas

She honors our call to slow down and go within… to hibernate, rest and restore…
Nature slows down in winter. Trees appear bare, animals hibernate, days grow quieter. When external activity reduces, we’re naturally drawn inward. Spiritually, this mirrors practices like meditation, prayer, and reflection—states where insight often arises in silence.

Sometimes my work comes from visions… or messages channeled from spirit… and sometimes it’s a life experience.
This particular painting was a visit from my Navajo Ancestors… whilst they helped me heal my heart 💚
The experience itself was something so profound, words would never do it justice…. And for that I am truly thankful I have my creativity!

After finishing my last series of paintings…
I felt restricted by the narrative and it was a push to finish the last two paintings.

I wanted that creative freedom again…. To try something new… to paint something solely for me…
And what an explosion of creativity she turned out to be!

I wanted color! And that’s exactly what I got!

I went BIG!

I pushed myself to try new mediums, some acrylic, some oil, and airbrushing! Which was way harder than I expected!

She was a journey, a description of my own healing, read previous post! And a journey of self discovery. I love her….

She reminds me to keep pushing and keep evolving, personally and professionally.

Oil and acrylic on canvas
I recently went through one of the most profound healings of my life during a psilocybin journey supported by my partner. I felt my Navajo ancestors—especially the women—step forward to release generations of pain, and I released my own: birth trauma, heartbreak, all of it. I’m sure the whole campsite wondered what was happening in that little yurt.

At one point the pain in my chest was so intense I held a rose quartz to my heart—and met its spirit. What followed felt like a psychic surgery, old energy pulled out of my body, leaving my heart tender for weeks as it healed.

This painting came through because the experience demanded expression: the green bird for the heart healing, and a guardian figure honoring my Navajo ancestry that held me through it all.

Healing isn’t always soft. Sometimes it’s ancient, wild, and deeply transformative. 💚✨

Depending on who you ask, Autumn ends in November and the Winter time officially begins……..
It definitely felt like it temperature wise today…
I tried to capture both seasons…. In these two paintings…
You can connect with the essence of each season in their gaze.
