There’s something I’ve been wanting to share with you... 🤍

If you’ve known me for a while or have been following Aroma Quartz, you’ll know that supporting independent businesses has always been something I’m incredibly passionate about.

Over the last few years, I welcomed other makers into our shop, collaborated with local creatives and done our best to champion small businesses wherever I could with Aroma Quartz.

The more I did that, the more I realised something, It wasn’t just the products I loved, it was the people behind the brand, the stories on how they got to where they are now, the excitement on their face when they hit a milestone and seeing them finally believing in themself.

So I always knew I would end up creating a space that truly championed small businesses, creativity and how important who and where we choose to spend our money is. That’s why I’m so excited to share Gander with you.

Gander is a new chapter for me personally but it comes from exactly the same values that Aroma Quartz has always been built on.

It’s about celebrating independent businesses, bringing talented makers together and creating seasonal events that encourage people to shop a little more thoughtfully.

Because every time we choose to support an indie brand or maker instead of a huge retailer, we’re helping real people continue doing what ignites their soul and keep our hard earned money in our community.

I wanted to share this with both the AQ and Gander communities because without Aroma Quartz, Gander simply wouldn’t exist and it was about time I actually shared me on the Gander page!

So welcome to Gander Makers Markets and I simply can’t wait to invite you into Ganders first Event: A Mindful Christmas at the Flaxmill happening on the 5th & 6th of December with over 80 indie brands confirmed already 🎄

Event Details:
Swan Hill Studios, Shrewsbury
Saturday 16th May | 2pm – 4pm

This is a slow, ritual-led candle-making experience rooted in presence, scent, and intention.

We begin with a gentle introduction to aromatherapy, exploring how essential oils can support mood, energy, and emotional well-being. You’ll be invited to take your time smelling a carefully curated selection of oils, learning about their individual properties and noticing what your body and intuition are drawn to.

From here, you’ll be guided in choosing oils based on what you need in that moment, or simply what you love, before learning how to thoughtfully blend them into a personal aromatherapy scent. This blend will then become the heart of your candle.

You’ll hand-pour your own full-sized candle, created slowly and intentionally, with an approximate burn time of 35–40 hours.

This experience is limited to just 8 places, held in a smaller, quieter setting to honour the intimacy and sacredness of the space. Throughout, you’ll be offered soul-nourishing refreshments, alongside a seasonal handmade nibble.

No rushing. No pressure.
Just scent, stillness, and mindful creation.

The biggest thank you to everyone who stopped by at Drawn this weekend.

continues to be one of our favourite events we’ve ever taken part in. The atmosphere is always something special, the people who come along are genuinely lovely, and the makers around us are some of the most talented we’ve had the pleasure of trading alongside.

A heartfelt thank you to and the entire Drawn team for creating and nurturing a space like this. It’s incredibly special to see how well it’s supported by the local community.

We also quietly introduced our mist diffuser oils and mist pods, and to see four scents sell out on the day meant a great deal. Our Moss Tonka refillable candles also sold out within the first hour, which we’re still taking in.and diffuser season has definitely arrived!

Excited doesn’t even come close ✏️

This week in the studio is all about getting those final bits ready for Drawn on Sunday 26th April and honestly, we cannot wait. It’s a full weekend event with different makers across both days, so it’s well worth making a proper weekend of it. I’ll be there on the Saturday having a wander as a customer(😁🤭), then on Sunday you’ll find me behind the table!

We’re bringing along a full table, so candles, melts, diffusers, mists and a little something new that I’ve been so excited to share. It felt right to do something special for Drawn, so we’re finally introducing our aroma mist diffusers and oils. If you’ve seen the tester on our table at recent events, you’ll know exactly what I mean. So many of you asked about them and it has honestly been painful not being able to say they were ready… until now.

There’s just something about Drawn. I always struggle to describe it without just saying it’s incredible. It’s genuinely my favourite event, both as a maker and as a shopper!!

Air of Neroli
Fresh, citrusy and uplifting. Neroli, bergamot and grapefruit, it just smells clean and bright

Orchard in Bloom
Soft and slightly sweet. Cherry blossom, Victoria plum and jasmine, inspired by the trees outside the studio as they start to bloom

Garden at Golden Hour
A soft floral with a bit of warmth to it. Jasmine, orange flower and rose with hints of peach, finished with cedarwood, musk and patchouli. Calm and easy, like the end of a warm day
