Big Little Things

Big Little Things - Wedding Florist | Funeral Flowers | Floristry Workshops
- Shropshire and beyond We like to be a bit different and are more of an unconventional flower shop!

In our shop you will find a carefully chosen collection of gifts, accessories, decorative homeware, cards, personalised presents and both fresh and artificial flowers. We have fresh flowers in the shop from Thursday which we make into ready made small posies and our popular jam jars. We only make up a certain amount each week so we strongly advise you to order to avoid disappointment. We do not ho

ld large volumes of flowers because we like to order little and often to ensure the freshness and quality of the flowers are at their best for our customers. We can only make up larger bouquets, specific arrangements or large quantities of jam jars/ posies if ordered in advance either by ordering in the shop the previous week or by email to [email protected].

We’ve had a couple of lovely new enquiries for weddings at recently, and it’s had us looking back through some of the beautiful weddings we’ve been lucky enough to create there. ✨

It feels like only yesterday that our shop was just over the road in courtyard. We eventually outgrew the space and moved into bigger workshops, but we still look back on those days very fondly. And, of course, being just a couple of minutes from Stockton was rather convenient!

So we couldn’t resist resharing this absolute beauty of a wedding for Me’sha & Darren.

They gave us such wonderful creative freedom with their flowers and colour palette, trusting us to bring our ideas to life, and we think the result speaks for itself.

Romantic, abundant and full of colour, with flowers that felt completely at home within the setting. The kind of wedding we never tire of creating.

If you’re planning a wedding at Stockton House, or somewhere nearby, and are looking for flowers that feel personal, abundant and beautifully considered, we’d love to hear from you.

**Tell us your date, venue and a little about your plans via DM or our website, and let’s create something beautiful together.**

POV: you’re a florist and your camera roll is basically just bridal bouquets…

And heaps of flowers with the occasional photo of your family 🤣.

A little scroll through some of the beautiful brides we’ve had the pleasure of creating for this year so far…
Different flowers, ideas, designs, colours, different styles - but every single one made with l passion and care (and probably a little too much excitement over the flowers 🤭).

Honestly, we really do have the best job.

Which bouquet is your favourite? Tell us in the comments!

A little bit of Bridgerton, a whole lot of garden romance? Yes please!

This was one of those weddings where every little detail came together just so…

Soft lilacs, blush, peach, butter yellow, powder blue and fresh greens. Garden-inspired bouquets. Abundant urns. Delicate bud vases. And just enough wildness to keep everything feeling soft.

From the church to the Orangery, the flowers softened the setting creating a floral story that felt romantic yet colourful.

A beautiful country house wedding, filled with English garden-inspired wedding flowers, seasonal colour and romantic floral details.

A little bit wild. A little bit romantic. A whole lot of WOW.

For this beautiful church ceremony, we created abundant floral urns overflowing with garden roses, hydrangeas, delphiniums, delicate seasonal flowers and plenty of lush foliage.

The soft, pretty palette sits so beautifully against the warmth of the stone and dark wood — creating that feeling of an English garden brought indoors… and then it all move to

This is exactly why we love floral urn installations so much. They’re versatile and can completely transform a space while still allowing its character to shine through.

Wedding florist vs DIY flowers… let’s talk.

We get it. You’ve seen the price of wedding flowers and thought…
“Surely I can just do these myself?” 😂
And honestly? You could.

But before you order 47 bunches of flowers from the internet, here’s what you might not have considered…

🍃 A florist knows how much you actually need.
No panic-buying flowers at 10pm because you’ve suddenly realised you’re short 12 centrepieces.

🌿 We know how to look after them.
Flowers aren’t quite as simple as “put them in water and hope for the best.” They need conditioning, some need feeding, other flowers have very strong opinions about room temperature. 😂

⏰ You get your time back.
DIY flowers can mean hours (and hours… and hours) of prepping and arranging in the many days before your wedding.

🥂 You don’t have to work on your wedding day.
While everyone else is getting ready, you don’t want to be elbow-deep in buckets of flowers thinking, “Why did I do this?”

✨ And then there’s the experience.
We’re trained, we know how to make flowers behave, how to create impact in a space and, importantly, what will still look beautiful after a few hours of hugs, photographs, dancing and possibly a few emotional tears.

DIY can absolutely be brilliant if you genuinely love flowers, have the time, have a very willing team of helpers and simply don’t have the budget.

But if you want a well designed, stylish and cohesive florals - and no stress then that’s probably your sign to get in touch with us. Let us worry about the flowers.
You worry about marrying your favourite person.

Would you DIY your wedding flowers or leave them to the professionals? 👇

How Big Should My Bridal Bouquet Be?

Bigger isn’t always better.

The perfect bouquet should complement your wedding dress, not compete with it. Your dress shape, neckline, height, style and overall wedding vibe can all help determine the right size, shape and flowers for your bouquet.

Think of it as the finishing touch to your bridal look.

Sharing your dress photos with your florist is a great thing to do! They can help create something that feels completely you and in proportion.

Because the goal is: “Wow, she looks amazing!”
Not: “Wow… that’s a lot of flowers.”

There’s something so special about real wedding photos. The very thing that captures the flowers, the little details, the people, and all those personal touches that made the day completely theirs.

This beautiful Pendrell Hall wedding brought together a colour scheme of soft pinks, rich burgundies and deep reds using seasonal flowers such as roses, Eustoma, astilbe and stocks.

The fresh flower-filled bandstand created the most romantic setting for the outdoor ceremony, with the same floral story carried through into the bride’s hand-tied bouquet, the bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ mini bouquets, and the pretty floral details throughout the venue.
