From fleece to blanket in 4 days!

This is the fifth year at the Great Yorkshire Show and what a brilliant week we had! Using local masham fleece from a farm within a mile of our home and zwartbles fleece from just a few miles away Rawlinshaw Farm we carded, spun and knitted during the show to create our Tree of Life lap blanket designed by Fiona Drake.

Based in the Fleece tent we talked to so many people about the processes involved, the beautiful colours of natural fibres, and what a valuable resource wool really is with so many and varied uses - and had the best time together doing it too.

Just an amazing week all round.
