Unfortunately, due to other commitments this morning, I’m not able to go to ford today, even though it’s a surprisingly sunny and dry morning in amongst the wet ones!
I’ve been busy at the nursery.
We’ve had 2 pallets of compost delivered, 100x 50 litre bags, so that kept us fit while we got wet unloading it in the rain! Should keep us going now into the new year.
I’m currently going through all of the benches weeding and repotting perennials into larger pots with fresh compost so that they can grow on for next season. Also collecting all of the plants which get put back in any space on the benches while waiting fur mire flowers when I’m busy . It’s good to get all of the same plants on the benches together.

After a very busy morning yesterday at Ford,
I’m back here again today.
I’ve still got a lovely selection of bulbs .
Today I’ve also brought some colourful Chrysanths , a bargain @£2.
I have some growing saffron crocus @£1 a pot or the loose bulbs @£1.50.
A few Nerines in flower , pink or white @£3 each or 2 for £5.
The first of the growing paperwhites @£3 or 2 for £5.
These flower around 5-8 weeks after planting . I also have loose bulbs in packs if 3@£1.50 or individually .
A few odd begonia trays now only @£1 .

I’m at Ford again today. After a busy morning yesterday. I’ve got an enormous selection of bulbs , also a few plants today. Climbers… honeysuckles and jasmines, Nerines, geranium pots, a lovely tall , dark Dahlia , a few Cyclamen and a few other odds and ends.
Why not try growing some Saffron Crocus this year? They’re autumn flowering , so will flower in the next couple of months . I have them available in packs of 6 bulbs @£1.50. I’ve also potted some up which are growing, so those will be available in another week or so.

I had a busy morning at Ford today. Sold a nice mixture across the range .
Weather permitting, I’m planning to go again tomorrow morning(Sunday)

Unfortunately, I have other commitments this morning, so I’m unable to get to Ford today.
I’m hoping to be there on Saturday .
I have been busy at my nursery, sorting out lots of plants, and getting them repotted, ready for growing on so that I’ll have a nice selection next year. I’ve also been very busy bagging up more bulbs.
I’ve started to plant up some Paperwhite daffodil bulbs. These are early flowering , and will flower 6-8 weeks after they’re planted.
I potted a few up a couple of weeks ago and they’re now up, so these will probably be ready to take out to sell in another week or so and will be flowering before the end of October . I potted another tray up yesterday and will keep planting another batch each week
You can keep them outside, I keep them outside until they’re about to flower, as it keeps them more compact. They are highly fragrant, so are popular for growing indoors around. Christmas time .
I have loose bulbs available for sale @50 p each .
They can be planted in compost, on top of gravel or compost, in vases etc. they don’t start growing properly until you plant them and give them some water , so count back from when you want them to flower you can speed them up/ slow them down by altering the temp they are growing in .
