We’re at The Creative Craft Show, Farnborough until Saturday, so if you’re visiting, come and find us, have a rummage through the storage, pull out the trays, try the desks and talk craft rooms with us. We’re on Stand A19 👋

Apparently “taking a few units to Farnborough” actually means playing a very large game of Tetris with half the warehouse 😂

Next stop: Farnborough! We’ll be setting up today ready for three days of talking craft rooms, storage and all things organising.

A little snippet of life outside Storage4Crafts ❤️

A flying visit to London and apparently we decided sleep was optional. Notting Hill, Portobello Road, an entirely unavoidable bookshop visit, Camden, plenty of miles in my Docs and the small matter of Bon Jovi at Wembley 🤘🎸

If you’ve been around here for a while, absolutely none of this will surprise you 😂

A brilliant couple of days, but now we’re back in Devon, back to S4C and straight into preparations because we’re off to Farnborough this week! ✂️🧵

Farnborough. We’re coming!

The van will shortly be packed (probably with considerably more furniture than Kevin would like 😂) and we’re heading to The Creative Craft Show at Farnborough International.

This is our only show in the South East this year, so if you’ve been wanting to see our craft storage in real life, open doors, pull out trays, sit at the desks and work out exactly what would fit in your craft room this is your chance.

And, of course, we’ll be there for all your storage questions because we do rather enjoy talking craft rooms.

Apparently we’ve decided there won’t be much sitting still this month…

September is looking VERY crafty at S4C HQ.

🚐 First stop. Farnborough for The Creative Craft Show, and our only show in the South East this year.

🏡 Then we’re back on home turf at Westpoint, Exeter for The Creative Craft Show. Always a favourite because it’s practically on our doorstep. (Which makes packing the van marginally less painful )

📺 Somewhere in between, we’ll also be popping up on Hobbymaker and Sewing Street.

So basically September will involve…

Lots of travelling.
Lots of talking about craft storage.
Lots of “have you thought about putting it here instead?”
Lots of helping you work out how to squeeze more craft into the space you already have. 😉
And hopefully lots of meeting some of you lovely lot along the way. ❤️

There might also be a little bit of actual crafting happening back at S4C HQ. I have two quilts that need finishing, so September could get interesting. 😬🧵

A few people have recently asked us about our beginner sewing lessons, but travelling to our Craft Barn in Coldridge can be a bit of a journey.

So we’re considering bringing our beginner sewing sessions to South Molton! 💜

We’re thinking of starting with a one-off 2-hour sewing taster for £25 per person — no commitment to a full course.

Apparently the most dangerous part of going on Sewing Street isn’t being live on TV, it’s sitting in the green room beforehand watching the shows. 😂

This oddly shaped parcel arrived today and I genuinely couldn’t remember what on earth I’d ordered.

Opened it and, ahhh. THAT. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please tell me I’m not the only one who orders crafty things and then gets completely surprised when they turn up?

Apparently you can never have too many scissors… ✂️😂

Big ones. Little ones. Fabric ones. Embroidery ones. The good ones that nobody else is allowed to touch and quite a few that I’d forgotten I even owned.

But they all have a different job, so obviously I need every single pair. That’s how it works, right?

Come on then, fellow crafters, how many pairs of scissors do you own? And do you actually know where they all are? ✂️🤣
