What a difference 5 years makes.

1st May 2021 is when we first officially opened our workshop to the public and, as of today, everything is now back where it all begin in our home having handed the keys over yesterday.

It's definitely a sad day having put blood, sweat, and tears into the business plus the thousands of hours, late nights, let alone tens of thousands of pounds but things aren't over just yet.

We're still operating and we'll be looking at booking in markets in the very near future so watch this space.

Our doors are open!

We'll be in our workshop from 10am until 3pm both today and tomorrow for our closing sale. Everything is half price for the next 2 days as we wrap up trading at our workshop and move the business back into our home.

If you're passing, we'd love to see you. Pop in, have a chat, smell some beautiful scents and maybe grab a bargain.

It is with a very heavy heart that we are closing our workshop from the end of April. We opened our doors for the first time on 1st May 2021 and so it is rather fitting that we will be closing at the end of April 5 years later.

There have been many late nights, long days, and blood, sweat, and tears gone into the creation of a workspace let alone the thousands of hours spent there since but, devastatingly, it has not worked out how we had hoped it would and is no longer financially viable. We will be bringing the business back where it all began and into our home with the aim of doing markets towards the end of this year and then see where we go from there.

We will be opening our doors for one last time on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th March between 10am and 3pm on both days. During this time all stock with be for sale at half price, all whilst stocks last.

The website will remain active, and all stock will still be for sale via this medium for the foreseeable.

Naturally, we want to thank everyone for all of their support over the last 7 and a bit years, we couldn’t have gotten this far without you. A special thank you to our landlord Craig (and Dan when we first moved in) for helping us along the way, and a very special thank you to both of our parents who have been there supporting us from day one; from buying more than you probably needed to, helping at markets and, over the last 18 months, watching over our little tornado whilst we were at markets or the workshop creating our products. We got into this to spend more time together and have certainly done just that, we have loved most of it and are thrilled to have had the opportunity to go on this crazy rollercoaster that is being a small business owner. To all the other small business owners out there that we have met or that we have not, remember, it’s a very difficult thing that you all do but can be so rewarding so keep kicking ass!

Laura is busy crying whilst I’m writing this so we’ll end with something that brings a smile to our face every day and, hopefully, will to everyone else also, our little Will.

It's been a while since we've had a market but we're back this weekend, a little bit later than originally planned as the event got pushed back from the start of the month.

We'll be at Green Fingers Garden Centre this Saturday with our big January sale with everything up to half price.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our small business this year. Between running Lumière Candles, working other jobs and keeping up with our very busy 16-month-old, life can be pretty non-stop — but making your orders and meeting you at markets makes it all so worth it.

We’ve now finished our markets for the year, but there’s still a couple of days left to order from our website if you’re after any last-minute Christmas gifts. We’ll then be back at Green Fingers Garden Centre on Saturday 3rd January.
