At last week's costume club, Ana continued work on her Princess Kida costume and draped a pleated top. It's great to see a project coming together so well!

If you're a keen costumer, why not drop in for our Saturday Costume Club tomorrow? You can use our sewing machines, meet likeminded costume enthusiasts and work on your latest project. The club takes place between 12:30 and 2:30 and costs £4.

Do you have an embroidery, fabric panel or old t-shirt you'd like to give a new lease of life?

Our Wednesday Skill Centre on 30th September is about upcycling old panels of fabric to make pretty and practical bags. It's a wonderful way to use embroidery projects.

At our inaugural Costume Club today, Ana has been hard at work on her Halloween costume, learning how to draft a quarter circle skirt and practising draping.

If you'd like to come and work on your projects in a social community space, you might enjoy our Thursday Sewing Social or Saturday Costume Club. In these groups, you can make progress on your projects, meet others with similar interests and make use of our sewing machines.

Join us on Wednesday 2nd September for a free demonstration. Learn how to insert a zip, an essential sewing skill for dressmaking, repairs and bagmaking.

Come and watch some simple, beginner-friendly methods of inserting zips to get you started on the road to home sewing. Enhance items with multi-coloured zips or just see how to replace old and broken ones.

No need to book, just drop in between 11am and 1pm!
