Here are my Christmas holiday dates 🎄

The website will remain open for orders but I won’t be working on them until 5th January when I return from my break.
If you want some fabric before I close, the last day for orders will be Wednesday 18th December.

Thank you all so much for your support this year! I’m having so much fun with the business and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next year.

Ho ho ho! 🎅🏼

Happy 1st December! 🎄
It’s a wet but exciting day 🎉

I have taken 54 fabric bundles to Robins Nest Emporium Southampton this morning. Such a roomy bookcase! I am over the moon 🌙
I will take some more tomorrow now I know how much I can fit in.

There’s a range of lengths and fabrics, I hope you all get a chance to pop down and see the fabrics in person now it’s there 🥰

54 fabric bundles ready to hit the Nest tomorrow! Whew, today has been busy, but I am feeling so excited and fulfilled 🥰

Hey everyone! With the green light to move stock into the Nest on Monday, I went bit wild with a restock, and today has been one giant fabric-sorting marathon. I’m so excited!

The website is now freshly stocked with TONS of new fabric. I think I’ve surprised myself how much I managed to order 🙈
We’ve got gorgeous cottons, a few festive bits, leopard denim in two colours this time (run for that, it never hangs around 🤣), and a really lovely mix overall.
Everything you see online will also be in the Nest from Monday if you want to come and give things a little touch in person. I’ve already split the stock, so don’t worry, nothing’s going to sell out online before it gets its moment on the bookcase! 🙂

This is the first restock I’ve ever had that has been selling out while I’ve been restocking it online, and that is such an exciting and surprising feeling to me.
Middle Stitch is my baby, a venture I started with no expectations, just an idea, and to see it growing out in the world, I’m so grateful 🤍🤍

THANK YOU! A million times, thank you 🥹

Hello everyone 🥰 Mark your calendars, 1st December, you can come and see my fabric!

As you all know, since I began the fabric side of Middle Stitch, my aim has been to bring beautiful fabrics to the community. I know there is nothing like FEELING fabric!
As a teeny weeny start up, this has been a challenge! BUT I am relentless and when I set my heart on a goal, I do my utmost to achieve it.

I have been exploring so many options, some feasible, some not… for now. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw how much rents are on the high street in the city centre. That’s a dream we will work towards for a little while longer 😂

My original plan was to bring the fabrics to market stalls, but this comes with its own set of challenges. Weather being a major factor, and space being another. You need a LARGE table to cut fabric, and if we had a really rainy day (hello England ☔️) it could damage the fabric. And selling only once a week? Not helpful if you get the sewing itch right now!
I looked into pop up shops, unit spaces… I’ve been all over 😆

So, sticking with the original theme of market stalls, it occurred to me… The largest indoor, seven days a week, emporium in Southampton.
And with that being said, I am so excited to say that from 1st December, Middle Stitch Studio will be trading at Robins Nest Emporium in Oakley Road 🥳🎉

Due to their availability of spaces, we will be on a bookcase for a month, before moving to a full sized pitch from 1st January.

There was an option to move into the pitch on 1st January and skip the bookcase completely, however I have been so keen to get fabric into your hands that I decided to take the option whilst we are waiting for the pitch space to become available. I have some lovely Christmas fabrics I want to share!
Once I’m in the full pitch, I’ll have a mini haberdashery section too, notions, bits, bobs… And lots more fabric!

Here’s how it will work:
To keep things manageable, and because I won’t be there (although you may bump into me from time to time!) I will be stocking the bookcase with pre-cut fabric bundles. I will be leaving bundles in 1, 2, and 3 metre lengths.
Most importantly, you will be able to touch and feel my fabrics! If you find a length isn’t there that you need, you can still order online with next day delivery as standard.
Weekly deals will be matched in Robins Nest, so you can grab a bargain in person too.

The Nest has a great public transport network, plus you can grab a cup of tea and a slice of cake in their lovely cafe whilst you’re shopping, and browse and support their other amazing traders. What’s not to love! 🥰

Moving into the Nest is a huge step for a little business like me.
Three months ago, I started with four bolts of fabric, and here we are, ready to take the next step, and that is all thanks to you, my lovely supporters and customers. I am truly, so grateful.

So yay…

I can’t believe it’s the last day of October! This month has absolutely flown by, probably because two weeks of it was walking on eggshells with the cat 🐈‍⬛🥹
I didn’t get a project done last week, but I do have one planned for this weekend. I’ve put aside some of the red brushed cotton for a pair of my Seed Trousers. They’ll be lovely and cosy now the weather has turned.
I’ve sold out of the red brushed cotton, but I do have these two colourways left. Both as lovely 🥰

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Happy Friday all ☺️
Do you have any sewing plans this weekend? I’m thinking of an easy project, something simple and satisfying! Not a garment, maybe a tote bag or something similar if anyone has any ideas? 💡

Archie update 🐾

Archie had his 72-hour check at the vet this morning and the vet was really pleased with his progress. It’s been a tumultuous few days, but he’s doing well and will officially be out of the woods on Tuesday. The most important stages of his healing happens between now and Monday, so we’re staying positive he’ll keep heading in the right direction ❤️‍🩹
Here he is looking very handsome in his recovery suit 🥰

Thank you for bearing with me this week.
I took a step back from marketing while we focused on getting him through, so it’s been a quiet few days, but fingers crossed, with all being well, I’ll be back in full swing on Monday. 💛

In fabric news, I have a really special update about stock, we got the news this week but I’ve been too wrapped up to celebrate. I can’t wait to share it with you all in full detail. It’s a really exciting step for us and our journey 🤍

Thank you again so much for your support, I’ve had some lovely kind messages on all platforms, and I’m feeling really very grateful to be surrounded by such a wholesome community.

I planned on putting together a Noa Dress guide today, but Archie had other plans…

Partial to crinkly plastic, he unfortunately took it too far last night, and has had emergency surgery today to clear a blockage in his stomach and intestines 😢
I’ve been an absolute wreck all day. He is the little love of my life, I would do anything for him.

We are waiting now to hear if we can collect him and bring him home at 6:30, or if we’ll be transferring him to the overnight unit for monitoring ☹️
He’s had such a hard day on his little body.

A little back story: Archie did the same thing 7 years ago! We thought we had learned this lesson. I am feeling so guilty for leaving something so tempting lying around. My poor boy. 😭

I’m just so grateful he made it through surgery. Here’s to a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹
