AUGUST | feels like a very transitionary month… this year I feel very mixed about it… the building sense of anticipation over munchkin starting secondary school in September is the lead emotion right now..

The mixed bag too of wanting to cling onto this month.. day by day, hour by hour to soak her up and keep September at bay but yet the juxtaposition of when will school start again so I don’t have to manage this sensory overload of us being around each other all the time and when emotions fly (like this morning) of how long that takes for me be able to process and move on from…

If you’re a parent with sensory and stimulus sensitivity how are you holding up… or even if you’re a parent in general; how you doing? It’s ok to love the very bones of your kid but yet struggle during the holiday 🫂

Just realised it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted on the grid.. I seem to find story shares so much easier to compile - grid posts feel so very pressured to “get right” as they are so permanent and visible. Anyone else feel similar?

Im managing a lot of life challenges right now.. working through them.. some better than others, most feel a lot rougher and lower but I look for the glimmers of light… just taking it a step at a time.

I thought this shot of my desk (check out that pop of pink from the carnations I’m making) with my favourite travel cup from (I customised with these motivational words) would be fitting for this post…

If you have kids off for half term hope your holding up ok 👍🏻 weather has been pretty mixed bag in the south east and if it’s dry we are just gonna dash out and grab the moment 🤣
