Senecio herreianus, also known as String of Teardrops, or String of Beads, is a trailing succulent plant native to southwest Africa (Namibia and South Africa). It is a close relative of the popular Senecio rowleyanus (String of Pearls). Features long, trailing stems with oblong or teardrop-shaped fleshy leaves marked with vertical, semi-translucent “window stripes” that resemble tiny watermelons. Produces small, fuzzy, white or cream-colored daisy-like flowers that carry a sweet and spicy scent.Light: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight or a few hours of gentle morning sun. Direct harsh afternoon sun can scorch the leaves. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering leads easily to root rot. Reduce watering significantly during winter. Try to use rain water as this plant does not apprecythe chlorine in our tap water
