I am so excited to have been offered my dream job as a Sales Designer for a local family business who specialise in bespoke wardrobes, media units, mud rooms and more.
Unfortunately, that means that I Live Lucy Interiors will be no more from the end of next week 🥲 but I’m leaving on a high and am so grateful for the opportunities it has given me. I have loved every project I have worked on, from the sublime to the ridiculous 😆 and have learnt SO much along the way. It wouldn’t have been possible without my wonderful clients, a lot of whom have become good friends to me. So, to everyone who has supported me over the years, thank you so much ☺️
Now it’s time for me to focus on the consultancy and design side of things which I love and have worked really hard towards. Looking forward to starting this new and exciting chapter. I’m sure I won’t be able to keep a paintbrush out of my hand for long 🤣 and will undoubtedly be posting things I have been doing at home, but it’s time to pack away the paint brushes and dust off the make up brushes!

My lovely customer had a dark wood kitchen that she wanted brightening up with a farmhouse feel, without losing the wood panelled walls. I painted the cupboards and cooker hood using Frenchic’s Wise Old Sage, keeping the wooden k***s, cooker mantle, work surface edge and shelf details in the wood for contrast. I stripped 3 layers of wallpaper (and some of the wall 🙃) filled, cross lined and papered with a lovely sage and silver wallpaper from B&Q. It feels so bright and spacious in there now and more importantly, I have another happy customer 🫶🏻

I really enjoyed transforming this dining room. We started with a moodboard to visualise how all the elements would work together in a Scandi-Edwardian design. I suggested a longer curtain pole, so that when the curtains are fully open, none of the light is obscured and wall to wall velvet curtains add a real sense of opulence! I used a light duck egg blue for the walls and a dark navy for the built-in cabinet. Different animal wallpaper and fabrics add a sense of fun 🤩 The light floor, rug and furniture bounce light back into the room.
I saw it furnished for the first time yesterday (with tea and cake!) and it feels so elegant and calm 😍

I picked this chaise up 5 weeks ago to reupholster, but ended up in hospital with a severe nosebleed and have had to take it very easy ever since! So it was lovely to finally get my hands on it and work my magic ✨ This gorgeous fabric is from Terry’s Fabrics (it’s called Seville) and the trim is a coordinating bottle green. I’m so pleased with the result and it’s lovely to be back working again.
