I've been *fadling about with this on and off for a while but I think it's time to stop now!

Started at the same time as my 'Last day of summer' I used an underpainting technique with a neon orange and violet base to create a sense of colour bursting out from behind, in the way a sunset appears to do.

NB: *Faddling is faffing and fiddling merged

A new oil painting of the sun trying to burst through grey clouds....its actually a narrow long painting but it gets cropped by the squares on here, anyhoo wish the sun would burst through already! Ready for summer now🙏☀️

I have 3 tickets for the new Agatha Christie play 'And then there were none' on 13th April, at the Mayflower Theatre , but we can't go now 🙈

Popped to
Christmas market today for some Christmas shopping 🎁 and to say hi to friends .pitt and who were trading there this weekend.
I had some of my artwork in the window along with other local artists 🎨
I managed to get quite a few gifts ticked off my list too✔
Also bought a calender from Anna and some gorgeous crochet tree baubles from Louise 🎄

You can make this year a greener , simpler affair 🌈make your own cards, bake for presents, , buy experiences over 'things' or if secondhand isn't quite you and you won't regret it💫🎁

Finished my oil painting 'Last day of summer'
Working from a photo my friend took early evening whilst we were at the beach, on the hottest day of the year last month☀️🧡

I used brushes and palette knives to apply the paint.
