Clumber Court – Project Complete ✅

Proud moment for the team 💪

The client set a firm deadline of the 27th to complete the flooring ahead of a critical final financing visit. With only one week to go, we still had two flats, the main entrance and the staircase to finish — all while working around multiple trades on site.

Despite the pressure, we delivered the full scope 1.5 days early and were one of the first trades to finish on the project.

Project scope included:
✔️ 500 bags of Kerakoll Pro Finish
✔️ 1,000m² J2 Flooring LVT across flats and communal areas
✔️ 80m² IVC IPerform vinyl in all ensuites
✔️ 40m² Burmatex Threads to stairs and landings
✔️ 30 linear metres of Genesis stair nosings

It’s been a long project, working in tight sequence alongside other trades — proud of the team’s commitment and workmanship throughout.

Looking forward to seeing the full development once the remaining works are complete.

Another stylish HMO completed in Derby!
We’ve combined quality and design to create a fresh, modern feel for future residents:

A lot of hard work went into completing this project within a tight time frame.
The heavily soiled carpet tiles were removed and disposed of, with the subfloor repaired where necessary. We then installed Burmatex Threads carpet tiles alongside Heckmondwike Sticks & Stones matting.
The Sticks & Stones matting was strategically placed in the areas subject to the heaviest soiling, helping to extend the overall lifecycle of the carpet tiles.

We were recently tasked with replacing a lab floor on campus—originally fitted over 10 years ago by our own director. As expected, the original installation was rock solid, and the strip-out required a machine to get through it—clear proof of a job well done back then.

For the replacement, we installed Walkway Dolphin as a like-for-like match, complete with all hot-welded seams, colour-matched sealant, and finished to a high standard—ready for immediate use.

Exciting Milestone!

Today, we completed our first project as part of our recently awarded place on the Nottingham Trent University Floorcoverings Framework.

We supplied and installed Infinity carpet tiles in the eye-catching Ice Mineral colourway to the newly created rooms within the Boots Library.

This is just the beginning — stay tuned for more completed projects for NTU, as our order book is already filling up fast!

It’s been over a decade since I last worked with Set-In Skirting, so this job called for a deep dive into the archives — almost had to channel my grandfather for guidance.

While Set-In Skirting isn’t as commonly used these days, with cap and cove vinyl generally offering a more efficient and hygienic solution, it’s always valuable to revisit traditional methods. They serve as a reminder of the craftsmanship that underpins modern practices.
