🌱 I’M EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that I will be returning to the poly tunnel to start growing again, but not as you think? I won’t be growing hundreds of varieties and go back to the days before we switched to the direct sowing method, but because I’m in my new era and don’t want to stess myself out, I’m growing exactly what I want to and that’s only 2 varieties… one for productivity and the other for shear indulgence 😁
🌼 I mentioned earlier in the week that we struggled with Zinnias in the meadow.. so that’s what I will be growing… all kinds of varieties in many colours, I love the simple zinnia and now they come in so many shades, last ages and are cut and come again.. they will replace the tulips and have their own large area for PYO and I’m hoping if all goes well that I can post out plug plants and sell from the farm for you to grow in your garden.. but that’s if it all goes well! 🤞
🌸 The 2nd.. well this one is just for fun, but let’s see where it takes us, I love and I’m fascinated by the humble pansy/viola.. one of the most understated flowers and sometimes not on a flowers farmers/florist list due to stem length, but like I said this one is just me indulging myself and growing something because I want to!
This one is my challenge, you can grow long stems and they can be incorporated in bouquets etc, but I’m really concentrating on unique frilly varieties and selling them in pots and ‘ready to go’ designs for your home and garden… trial and error this one, but I’m itching to get stuck in, I will be starting the pansy sowings very shortly and pottering in the polytunnel again is going to be fabulous for my serenity & peace 🫶🏻
