Right, let’s talk about Crown Street in Hebden Bridge!! It might not be the busiest or prettiest street in town but it’s absolutely packed with amazing businesses that are definitely worth a visit next time you’re there! 💜

P.s sorry in advance if I’ve missed any businesses! 🫣

First things first… coffee!! Because all day trips to a quaint little yorkshire town should start with caffeine and quite frankly you’re spoilt for choice in Hebden Bridge!!

If I had a pound for every time someone came in to the shop and asked ‘what do you do here?’ …I’d have a lot of pounds! 🤭🤦🏼‍♀️

I always think it’s glaringly obvious that it’s a gift shop but obviously not… so let me show you some of the wonderful things that we sell! 🤭

We’ve got a huge range of greetings cards which are always being restocked, with over 70 designs to choose from there’s bound to be something that will tick the box! 🤭

We also stock gift bags and gift wrap so you can literally buy a gift, a card and the packaging all under one roof! 🤩

We love a board game and we’ve got loads of fun puzzles, games and quizzes to choose from! A lot of them POO themed 🤔💩 …don’t ask me why! 🤣

We make personalised name signs which are the ultimate thoughtful gift! We take orders for these in the shop and they take around a week to turnaround! You can either have them posted to you or collect them from the shop when you’re next visiting Hebden Bridge! 🤩

Although we do have loads of lovely products for children… we also have lots of goodies for adults too! Including books, mugs, candles, cosmetics and stationery!! Everything we stock is fun and colourful and you absolutely do not need to have kids with you to come and browse our little gift shop! 💜

Oh September… quite possibly one of my favourite months of the year so far!! I’m not going to lie when I say that the plan for celebrating our shops first birthday pretty much consumed my thoughts for the whole month, but we still managed to squeeze some other lovely moments in throughout the month!

We hosted a 2nd Birthday Party and it was absolutely adorable! The birthday girl was the star of the show and it was lovely to provide a space for the family to celebrate such a special milestone! I’m working on some birthday party packages as we keep getting asked about this! 🎉

Although this month has been a busy one, we’ve managed to squeeze a few little nights away in with family and friends and it’s been so nice to get away and unwind! We went on our first camping trip and tackled a 5 hour trip to Scotland with a freshly potty trained toddler! 🥴

Online orders for personalised name signs have started ramping up which can only mean one thing… people are starting to think about Christmas!! I love you early birds… it makes my job so much easier when people order nice and early! 🤭

SO back to the shop birthday celebrations!! I’ve been planning our little party weekend for a while now and there was always the dread that no one would turn up…. but OH MY, you guys showed up!! The shop was so busy all weekend, there was familiar faces, new faces and so many excited little ones leaving with birthday cake, goodie bags and balloons! It was a business milestone that I’ll never forget and I think we’ll definitely be making the shop birthday an annual event!! 🤩

The shop has also started hosting a ‘Spanish Playgroup’ which has been really popular so far! My daughter now walks around constantly saying ‘Hola Mamma!’

I feel like I barely have any pictures on my phone from this month other than pictures of birthday cake and balloons!! None the less, it’s been a pretty wonderful month and I’m very excited to see what the rest of the BER months bring…. roll on Autumn! 🍂

This time last week we’d just finished celebrating our shops birthday party and it was such a lovely weekend! 🥰 Here’s a round up of some of my favourite bits:

Obviously I have to start with the cake! The most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen which was made by PINK PIGEON CREATIVE BAKERY STUDIO 💜 It was so beautiful that it felt wrong to chop it up and eat! 🤭

The shop from decorated with balloons from Tara’s Wonderworld …my go to business for all things party related! 🎈

The atmosphere in the shop was electric all weekend and it was amazing to see so many familiar faces pop in and enjoy the birthday celebrations with us! It was an absolute pleasure to fill all the kids up on free babyccinos and cake! 🤭

I was blown away (and slightly emotional) by how many cards and gifts I received from my lovely customers! 🥰 I’m really quite proud of this amazing community that is evolving at the shop! 💜

The mini croissants from were not only very cute and tasted delicious, but they were a hit with the little ones! 🥐

It was a really lovely moment to celebrate this business milestone with my family by my side!! It wouldn’t be possible without them! 🥰

The weekend was so much fun so obviously we’ll be doing an even bigger and better party when we turn 2 next year… stay tuned! 😎

WE’RE HIRING!!

We’re hiring a new staff member to join the team at Pen & Pearl Studio in Hebden Bridge! 🤩

We’re looking for someone to work approximately 8 hours per week over 2 days (days can be discussed but must have availability over the weekend) Working hours are normally 9.45am until 3.30pm but we can offer flexibility for the right candidate.

Please only apply if you meet the criteria stated. Unfortunately at this time I cannot consider applicants that are under 18 years old. Previous barista experience would be preferred but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Deliveries are coming in thick and fast at the moment and we’ve got tonnes of new stock in ready for the gifting season ahead! 🤩 Let me show you a few new bits…

First up we have tattoos! Because name me a child who doesn’t love to cover their entire body in temporary tattoos! We’ve got 6 different designs (the monsters are my personal faves!)

Mimi & Lula deliver again! Just when I think these hair clips can’t get any better, I place another order and they blow me away! These adorable farm animal clips are my faves… just look at that sheep! 🐑

Bath Paint Sticks… now don’t come at me if they mess your bathroom up BUT! I’ve taken these home and tested them out and they clean off absolutely fine and make bathtime a lot of fun!

STICKERS! We love stickers, so what’s better than a giant book with 300 hundred different stickers that are very satisfyingly organised by colour!

Gorgeous wooden toys from Le Toy Van! We’ve got a selection of different vehicles and a few other bits and bobs which are lovely for gifting.

Rita the baby duck…. need I say more! A cute little duck, wearing a cute little sleeping bag, in a cute little box! I seriously have to stop myself from taking Rita home with me because she’s just too CUTE!
