✨☁️ Stardust ☁️💫

How dreamy is this new fabric?
New from Robert Kaufman, this collection named ‘Stardust’ arrived yesterday, and we’ve all been admiring it since!

Featuring heavily textured, clouded designs in dark blues and purples, the small metallic gold details on each piece really bring these darker colours to life, making them all seem very magical.

Janet already has her eye on the clouded fabric to make a dress. 👀

🚀☄️ Orbits & Advent ❄️🦌

Over the past week we have received another delivery of gorgeous fabrics.

First, we have the new Orbit collection from Lewis & Irene.
This fantastic panel features all the planets in our solar system, plus other decorative elements such as astronauts, comets and rockets.
We also have a selection of complimentary fabrics featuring colourful stars and retro style planets and rockets.
This could all be used to make a quilt, or perhaps a stunning wall hanging for a child’s bedroom or playroom.

We’ve also had a new Christmas stocking and advent calendar from the Woodland Christmas range designed by Susan Wheeler for Nutex Fabrics.
Janet has been busy making up samples and you can see here just how lovely the advent calendar panel looks as a finished piece.
Our sample calendar has been quilted with a simple diagonal lined pattern, however you can add as much or as little quilting detail as you like, which is what will make your calendar special and unique. 💖

🏖️🦞 New Coastal & Ombré Fabric 🌈💐

Look at these spectacular fabrics that arrived yesterday. How pretty are these?!

First of all, we received these stunning bolts of ombré patterns from Lewis & Irene.
We have two more of the ‘Boho Blooms’ collection, one in berry and the other in pastels to go alongside our current selection, as well as these brand new ‘Bumbleberries’ rainbow and ocean fabrics too with colours that just pop.
These would look fantastic as a border or binding on a quilt. You could even cut into strips and use in the quilt itself.

We’ve also had a selection of fabrics from the range ‘Coastal,’ designed by Emma Ball for Nutex.
These have the classic seaside look and feature an array of animals and objects you would find by the beach such as puffins, seagulls, deckchairs and boats.
These would make lovely items such as bunting or maybe even a pair of children’s dungarees?!

🌸💆🏻‍♀️ Women’s Wellness Day 👗🌼

We are all set up and ready to go at SFWI’s Women’s Wellness Day at Staffordshire Showground.

Running today from 10am - 4pm, this is a women’s only event that consists of talks, workshops and stalls from local groups/businesses, all focused around health and wellbeing.

This event is free to attend, with lots to see and do, so why not take some time for yourself and pop down to see all of the amazing stalls and activities?!

Here is a little sneak peek at our stall, and we will be on hand all day to answer any of your questions about our lovely products and workshops.

🍁🍂 Autumn Wear 🍂🍁

With the temperature finally dropping a bit cooler, it’s become that in between time of year when you can still be wearing shorts one day, and trousers the next!

Anne and Janet have been very busy once again with these fantastic makes.

Janet has taken the ‘Jensen Pants’ Tessuti pattern, which we have in store in sizes 6-22, and has used some of our recent sale fabric to create a really stylish, yet cosy look - perfect for this time of year.

Anne has once again been sewing for her brother, and has created these shorts in a green with an amazing contrasting red button and thread, and apart from some bits and bobs from her own stash, every else was purchased in store.

It’s a fantastic time to be creating and preparing new garments for your autumn wardrobe.
