Is there anything better than a childs' imagination?

With digital media and computer games becoming a staple, children are not being given a chance to use their imagination. They are told what to think, how to think and given premade characters centred around competition and gaming.

This is why I have thought of a way that children can create a character unique to themselves - a character individual and exclusive... because it comes from their own imagination.

I am creating a series of books, toys and activities that revolve around their own character, represented as a doll.

The starting point is to get creative and start designing their very own doll.

So I've made a colouring sheet that, once finished, will double up as a beautiful art print for your child to display... and it is absolutely FREE!

Not only that, but they'll be in with a chance of winning their very own, handmade PENELOPE ROSE doll based on their design!

In order to get the colouring sheet, please join my Facebook group and add your email when prompted so that I can send you the colouring sheet as a pdf to print.

Submit entries by posting in the Facebook group, which will act as a safe space for sharing competition entries and inspiration.

Do you love curly hair or loathe it?

As a natural curly head I have mixed opinions. I adore it on others but I can find it a bit unmanageable myself.

However I can promise that will not be the issue for this curly girl. I'm spending some time making beautiful rust coloured curls for this handmade doll. I will trim off the scanty ends of course.

Just 100 or so more to make. But before I do that, I'll wear my hair with its' natural curls for a bit so that I can copy them and hopefully make these doll curls as realistic as possible.

The month of May sees a lot happening for me. Both my son's have their birthdays this month so I have a lot going on, especially when it comes to their party.

I am also suffering with an awful M.E. relapse that had completely floored me.

So, doll making is on hold until June. I'll keep you updated with designs and ideas in the mean time. Oh.. and the launch of my first collection will be coming soon too!

I was hit with covid and an M.E. flare up so she has been a long time coming. I think she is worth it. What do you think?

She wears beautiful, delicate unicorn tulle with added sparkle. Her hair is adorned with flowers and iridescent stars.

I hope you like her.

Attaching these gorgeous Swarovski Crystals to this lovely custom dolls' bodice is incredibly fiddly! However, I feel certain that the extra time spent adding these luxurious finishing touches will be worth it.

Who doesn't deserve a little extra sparkle?
