Just 2 weeks to go until Fangfest. Preparation is underway with getting paper ready for you to print on to for the workshop. Just bring your creativity and make sure you book your place.

Fangfest Festival of Practical Arts is an annual festival held in Fangfoss, just outside York, UK. Each September we get together with local creatives and businesses to celebrate traditional and contemporary arts and crafts skills.

But is it finished?

That's what I keep asking myself each time I look at the new print I'm working on. And the honest answer is, I just don't know. Sometimes you have to sit with it a while before the answer comes.

I wanted to work on a larger block, and when my sister told me on a phone call that she'd disturbed the fox sleeping on her garden wall, I immediately asked if she could get a photo of it. She lives in Edinburgh in a conservation area, so they have these great stone walls around the garden.

I think more texture is needed on the wall. I'm going to get out a white pen and add to it so I can see what more I can remove. Much better idea than attacking it straight on, and being disappointed later!

I may even have it ready in time for the Print Fair 19-20 September!
