Ever wanted to learn printmaking?

So many people asked me if I did printmaking classes during yorkopenstudios and the answer is yes, I do.

If you’ve ever wanted to try printmaking, Tetrapak etching is a fantastic, eco-friendly way to create beautiful, textured prints using recycled materials. These are smaller group sessions group session (maximum 4 people) to ensure everyone gets plenty of guidance and press time.

Sometimes, the easiest way to see if any adjustments need to be made, is to use an ink pad. I'm using black to see if I need any more detail on my fox. Think I'm just about done!

Have you got your Pocklington Area Open Studios brochure yet? There’s still time to pop to your local shops, cafes, garden centres and so on to get one, then have a peruse and decide your route to take in all the venues you want to see.

Myself and Lesley Peatfield Photography will be exhibiting at Lesley’s studio in Skirpenbeck, Venue 7, where you’ll be able to pop in and speak to us about photography and printmaking. It’s set to be an amazing event with so many talented artists to see.

Working on a new print based on visitors to urban gardens. My sister frequently has a fox who visits her garden in Edinburgh, so when she sent me a photo, inspiration struck.

Pop into venue 7, Skirpenbeck during Pocklington Area Open Studios on the 16-17 May to see how I'm getting on with it! I'll be exhibiting with Lesley Peatfield Photography.
