🌸 A Little Flower Buying Secret... 🌸

Did you know that not every website claiming to be your "local florist" is actually... well... your local florist? 🤔

Here's what can happen:

You see a gorgeous bouquet online. You order it, thinking you're supporting a local flower shop. The company takes your payment... then sends the order to a real local florist through a relay service, often keeping a sizeable chunk of what you paid before passing the order on.

It's a bit like paying for a luxury afternoon tea, only for the café to be told they have the budget for tea and two biscuits. 🍵🍪

The local florist then has the tricky job of creating something beautiful with a much smaller budget than you originally paid. If the flowers look different from the picture or seem smaller than expected, it's often because the florist never received the full amount you spent.

So, how can you make sure your money goes where you think it does?

🌼 Order directly from a florist's own website or give them a call.
🌼 Check that the shop has a genuine local address and phone number.
🌼 Ask questions—we actually love talking about flowers!
🌼 You'll get expert advice, personal service and much better value for your money.

When you order direct, every penny works harder. More of your budget goes into beautiful blooms rather than disappearing into the pockets of a company acting as the middleman.

We're not saying relay services are always bad—they can be useful when sending flowers across the country or overseas. But if you're ordering from a florist in the town where the flowers are being delivered, going direct is almost always the best choice.

Your local florist isn't just selling flowers—we're helping celebrate birthdays, welcome new babies, congratulate achievements, say "I'm sorry", and honour loved ones. We'd much rather spend your money on extra flowers than extra middlemen. 🌷❤️

So next time you're sending flowers, skip the flower "telephone game" and go straight to the people with the secateurs. We promise we don't bite... unless you ask us to tackle a particularly thorny rose! 😉✂️

Bright, joyful blooms like these are exactly why choosing a local florist makes all the difference 🌸💐
When you order locally, your flowers are made by real florists who listen to what you want. Don’t like roses? Prefer to avoid lilies that drop pollen? No problem at all — we can design something beautiful just for you, using flowers that suit your taste and your home.
Unlike many unknown online services, where bouquets are often pre-packed and shipped in boxes, a local florist creates arrangements fresh to order with care and attention to detail. That means fuller bouquets, better balance of colours and textures, and flowers that are chosen for their quality.
We’re also incredibly lucky to work with wonderful wholesalers who deliver next-day, allowing us to select the freshest seasonal stock. That freshness makes a real difference to how long your flowers last and how vibrant they look.
Supporting your local florist means: 🌼 Personalised bouquets
🌼 Fresh flowers selected daily
🌼 No unwanted blooms (goodbye roses & pollen-dropping lilies!)
🌼 Expert design and care
🌼 Supporting a small local business
If you’d like something bright, cheerful and completely tailored to you, we’d love to help.
