A long overdue update on the Land Rover,
It’s a slow progress that’s ticking along when I have a spare evening here and there.
I decided to step away from reusing the original 2.25 petrol as the engine needed a complete rebuild and deep down I always wanted a mechanical diesel engine for this build.
My father in law kindly donated a spare 200tdi he had laying around (as you do) which took a bit of persuading to get in but after fabricating an adapter for the drivers side mount in was in a treat.
For now I’m planning on using the original petrol gearbox and drivetrain as a proof of concept however this will get upgraded in the future.
There’s still so much to be done before it’ll be running but this car brings so much joy when fettling around the workshop on it.
