Land Rover update, it rolls!

It’s been a long time coming as this has become a full ground up rebuild. My aim is to have a fully useable and reliable (haha) Land Rover Series 2 whilst maintaining as much patina and weathering as possible.

I’ve started with a brand new installing new suspension as I reassembled the axles to the new chassis and degreasing them in the process. I also fitted a restored bulkhead because the original steel panels on the Land Rover are beyond saving.

I was really unsure which route to take with engine, diesel or keep it original with the 2.25 petrol? The engine was a non-runner but does turn over freely so I’m going to replenish it and see if it can be usable for the time being.

I certainly didn’t need this volume of a project whilst having a total of 6 cars of which 3 are pre 90’s and require work however it’s always been a bucket list vehicle for me and the deal couldn’t be refused.
