Flower Power - Woking on these for the last few weeks and finally got something together. Labour of love making these ❤ a few ups and downs getting these small flower studs completed. Made from drink cans flowers cut using various flower shapes with a card cutting dies and rolling machine. I used a pink/purple coloured toned cans for these particular pairs made. Not yet available to buy yet but I wanted to share, I am still working on some more pairs and possibly some dangle earrings to match and make a set to sell together. Concrete Samples continue - Experimenting with colour round 2 yesterday😎. This time had more success this time around decided on red acrylic paint mixed with various glitters to add a little sparkle to the concrete. Dry enough today to remove from the moulds leave them a little longer before I attempt to sand and glue together. Next working on a few design ideas with these and others already in progress. Upcycled Jewellery Part 5 and Final pictures - Last part of this journey all I had left to do was attach the ear wires (Sourced pre made ear wires using 925 silver wire good for sensitive ears). Finally completed one pair so far, still working on some new designs and ideas. Not currently available have a few more things to follow up with before I do. Upcycled Jewellery Part 4 - Almost finished working alongside the design I started. Drilling the holes for the metal domes and for the ear wire. Then filing, sanding and polishing the aluminium ready to start adding the domes riveting them to the metal using copper and aluminium tube (carefully as I have polished the aluminium before this so need to protect from scratching using tissue or cloths to do so). I did not want to polish the recycled parts as I want them a little more rustic, so I used a little renaissance wax polish on these to protect the metal instead. Hope you like how they turned out, to finish all they need now is the ear wires (I use a 925 wire for these) and final photos 😍❤. Let me know what you think. I have a few more ideas I could follow on from this using the same recycled jewellery parts. My next post will show you the finished product 😎. Upcycled Jewellery Design Part 3 - Following on 😎 a little design development. How do I use these little domed shapes? How do I put them together and create something else? Well at first I was thinking floral as I first saw roses, flower shape in the dome then I saw a swirl shape in some of the die cut pieces I use and this shape and design started to come together. My idea to sort of place the domed shapes onto this design cut in aluminium then to rivet them securely. The design almost represents an octopus with the curled shapes and domed tentacles (the item will be earrings just to fill in the blank on that one 😁).
