I’m loving how this writing bureau is coming together!

We’ve gone for a lovely grey on the outside, while keeping that beautiful dark wood inside. I love seeing the character of a piece shine through. 🎨

The front is back on, but the drawers are still to do… so we’re not quite at the big reveal yet! 😂

This is where the transformation starts! 🎨🪑

The writing bureau is taken apart and I’m finally getting some paint on it! 🙌

I’ve been so busy with family life lately, so it’s lovely to be back doing something I really enjoy.

There’s still plenty to do before the big reveal… 👀❤️

The first step nobody sees… 👀🪑

Before I can get anywhere near the paint, every piece gets a really good clean.

This writing bureau is today’s project and I’ve just given it the Sugar Soap treatment. 😂

Now I’m off for a walk while it dries, then I’ll be sanding and finally getting the paint out! 🎨

I LOVE seeing a tired piece of furniture go from 😐 ➡️ 😍

Right… I’m finally getting back to my upcycling! 🎨🪑❤️

I’ve been a bit quiet with it lately because life has just been BUSY 😂

School holidays, family stuff, birthdays… you know how it is!

But I’ve really missed getting stuck into a piece of furniture, so I’m very happy to say I’m back! 🙌

This is my next project - a writing bureau for a lovely customer. 👀

Once I’ve finished this one, I’ve also got a sideboard waiting for its makeover which then will be available… and then I’ll have some time for another piece if anyone has something they’d like transformed. 👀🎨

I can’t wait to get the paintbrush out again!

I knew this piece had potential… but I didn’t expect it to look this good already! 😍

This is solid wood, beautifully made and definitely worth saving.

There’s still more stripping to do before I decide on the final finish, but that grain is absolutely stunning.

I love giving old furniture a second chance instead of seeing it end up in landfill.

✨ A little corner transformed ✨

I love taking solid furniture that’s already stood the test of time and giving it a fresh new life.

This matching corner unit and side table have been lovingly upcycled in Frenchic Wholly Moley – a gorgeous warm greige that works beautifully with both modern and traditional homes.

There’s something special about furniture with character. Instead of ending up discarded, these solid pieces have been reimagined and are ready for their next home ♻️
