Captain America 🇺🇸

I finished this painting towards the end of last year, it was my first painting after a long while away from it. He took blood, sweat and tears but I was so thrilled with the outcome, especially after not painting for such a long time, and I’m so happy I kept hold of him.

Portraits are probably my favourite to do, they’re just long and I’m lazy 😅

An example of how the most beautiful painting can be an absolute failure 😭

I attempted my first wave pour and as stressful as it was I LOVE the result… however, I applied so much paint to the centre it all kinda got swallowed up and it’s dried with wrinkles and cracks 😢 one to learn from! I’m excited to try again 😅

Painting has become that thing that helps me disappear for a little while. I haven’t painted in about 2 weeks and honestly I feel a bit lost. I miss that feeling of not thinking about a single thing for a few hours. Back to it this weekend. Feeling like poo recently and I really need it 😂

Who knows what kind of art I’ll be making in the next coming months. For now I’m really just enjoying getting to grips with acrylic pouring. It’s a lot more difficult than I thought 😂

I’ve been struggling a lot with the consistency of my paints and amount of paint I’ve been making up for the size of canvas I’m using. Been creating some gorgeous pieces but not getting the effect I want - and this one just worked 🤤 I’m in love with it!

Haven’t got any others right since, but it’s all trial and error 🤣
