A slightly more masculine baby pattern today. This is another of the new ones from Peter Pan. Now I know I'm wrong in saying "it's for a boy," and I think the jumper would suit any baby. It just looks a little more manly? Back me up if you feel the same way. This one is cabled, I love a cable pattern. There is a jumper, a sleeveless top and a hat in this one.
The pattern costs £3.50. The yarn I have put with it is £2.50 for 100gm.

This is another baby pattern I've had in from Peter Pan. This time there is a good choice of simple lace patterns on it and a choice of vee neck, round neck or collared. If your checking out how much yarn you need please remember that the pattern is asking gor a 50gm ball and many of mine are 100gm. The yarns I have shown alongside this are the Wendy Supreme, not strictly a 'baby' yarn but in my opinion it is lovely and soft and costs £2.30 for the 100gm. The pink is the James C Brett baby soft dk and is £2.50 a 100gm ball. The pattern is £3.50.

Update time for our September challenge. It's "Something for Halloween". Now I'm quite excited by this. It happens in my favourite time of the year Autumn. The colours are "my" colours, I can think of nothing nicer than curling up with a hot drink, my knitting and something good on the telly. With each of the challenges I've made you this year, I've made something small to fit the brief. This time I went into my Ravelry account and looked up Halloween and there it was a cowl with Halloween motifs on it. In fact there was a couple but I settled on one that had bats on. I've loved these creatures for about 45 or more years, ever since one flew around me sat in a garden up in Scotland. Now according to the pattern it should take about three weeks to make this so hopefully I can do it in time for the challenge.
This bit is supposed to be spiders, last time I did a stitch like this the were called butterflies! Just a bit of imagination is needed! Have you decided on your September challenge yet? Let's see what you are making. There will be prizes!

IT'S WIP WEDNESDAY!!!
How has the weeks yarn crafting gone for you?
I haven't done as much as I anticipated. I was hoping to do so much more over the bank holiday weekend but Stacey's pup came yo stay with us. Let's just say she's a lot bouncer than ours or is it just when the two of them get together?
In the shop I have started a 4ply baby cardigan in Patons cotton and bamboo Baby Smiles. It feels so lovely, I'm very impressed with it. Our September challenge is to make something for Halloween and I've just bought a Halloween cowl pattern from Ravelry. I always struggle with tab starts on anything and is no exception. I'm over the worse now and I'm making a spider stitch section. I'm hoping the whole thing will look very cool! The "c" sock at home are now up to the heel shaping. Sorry but this is last weeks picture and I'm in the shop. I'll pop an up to date one on the message bit. The crochet jumper I'm doing in the shop has stalled a little, I really must get back to it.
How are you WIP's progressing? Are you settling in to autumnal nights yet. Have you begun to think about Christmas Knits yet? Pop a picture on so we can ooh and ahh over yours.

Well Hello September! Depending on whether you follow the astronomical or the meteorological clock but that's autumn or nearly autumn. To me it heralds the Ber months. Does that to you mean it's the time of the year when things get chillier - burrr - or is it SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, and DecemBER? Either way is gona get colder! I feel its time to advertise our September competition! Same format as the last three, make something on a theme, send in photos for the 28th September we will have a vote the winner receives a prize. This time its a tote bag!
The theme for September is "Something Spooky!" There are hundreds of patterns for Halloween themed things, pumpkins, ghost, bats the last is endless. So it's up to you what you wish to make. A tea light holder, a cuddly thing, a wall hanging, the list goes on.

Well that's Summer over! Our opening hours are going back to the original times with the exception of Saturdays!
From the 1st of September we will be open
10am until 4pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 10am until 3pm.
Each Tuesday we ard open again for knit and natter from 7 until 8.30pm. This is an open invite! I will have to suspend numbers if it gets above 12. No charge just a donation towards your brew!

We will be closed on the 31st August for the bank holiday. Open Tuesday 10.00am.

I got in some different patterns this week from Peter Pan - he's Wendy's freind you know! 😉 I can get the Peter Pan yarn but they are in a 50gm ball and a real pain to stack on the shelf. (Do not worry though I've got an idea that should make it work!) In the mean time I have in various other yarns that can be used instead. Like the James C Bretts baby soft DK. I don't mind putting them together as the two are sister companies. So, just for now. I'm showing the Bretts yarn with it. This pattern is one lots of people like to have. It's a raglan sleeved round neck, vee neck and sweater style.
The pattern is £3.50 and the Baby Soft yarn is £2.50 a ball.
