Business and history
Love that wool is currently located in Stockport's old town and is one of the thriving small businesses housed in its beautiful Victorian Market Hall. Today's business is a continuation of the one started by Gaynor's father John, who in 1966 July left steady employment and took the risk of starting his own business. Initially trading in the weekly markets around the North West, John finally took premises in Stockport around 25 years ago and became known as "John the Wool" his nickname amongst the other local traders. In anticipation of her fathers retirement, Gaynor became involved full time in the business seven years ago, though she has worked with her dad on and off for many years.
