Well it’s been a first for me this week, was asked to install an electric stove. Had a chat with the customer and we decided on the ACR Astwood 2kw stove, with natural slate hearth, Hathaway brick slips and a Focal Point Montana surround.

The lovely family in Ingleby Barwick, who ordered this week’s installation, thought the original fireplace was too big and overpowered the room.
I replaced it with a Tinderbox Medium multi fuel stove, slate hearth, oak mantle and Hathaway brick slips.
Nice transformation!

This home in Eaglescliffe didn’t have a chimney or fireplace, so we built one!
We built an external inglenook using matching brickwork and a tiled roof.
Inside, we knocked through to create an inglenook fireplace with Indian stone hearth, solid oak mantle, rustic brick slips and led downlighting.
Featuring the Charnwood C5 wood burning stove with black twin wall flue system, the overall looks are impressive!
