I adored creating this showstopper of an arrangement for a 50th birthday party - this time of year in the garden is just utter joy! The brief was a pretty palette of pinks, purples, whites and salmon with plenty of whimsy, arranged in my client’s vase - I was so pleased to hear she loved it🌸✨

Hope and tradition💕

Four years ago my husband took me to Sissinghurst just before I was due to start radiotherapy for breast cancer (and a couple of months following surgery). An early wedding anniversary celebration, we had a wonderful day and it was the perfect distraction during a worrying time.

Every year since, around this time of year, we have returned to Sissinghurst, adding on a visit to Great Dixter and this year we stayed in Rye and visited Charleston too. Somewhere I have wanted to go for years, the farmhouse and garden were even more beautiful and inspiring than I imagined. Home now, full of inspiration from all these wonderful places and feeling very thankful for the joy and hope of gardening and growing.

It was hard to choose just twenty photos from the hundreds I took but here is a selection - I hope you like them🌸💚
