Experimenting with some cyanotype printing whilst we’re lucky enough to have some bright sunshine! ☀️ It’s a process that I’ve wanted to try for ages as it combines my love of nature and photography perfectly. I had a kit for my birthday; there’s lots to learn in terms of getting much clearer images but I get the feeling it might become addictive!

Currently working on a special 90th birthday card for a relative. I’m using a childhood photograph of her which I’ve printed onto velvet as the main image. I’m not embellishing it with vintage buttons and ribbon. I’ve gone for a bit of tartan as she loved holidaying in Scotland in years gone by.

I was thrilled to receive this gift for Mother’s Day today. Painted in one afternoon while I was out yesterday- a wildflower meadow at night. She’s knows me so well and always amazes me with her creativity. Home made gifts are the best!

A very enjoyable workshop with at today. Such a relaxing and satisfying craft making a botanical plaster plaque. It needs to properly dry and then I can clean it up and appreciate all the little details in the plants.

It’s a bit of a sentimental from me today my dearest Grandad (Frank) would’ve been 100 on Sunday if he was still with us. He adored his garden and a love of gardening has passed down to me. He also always said that I’d have a craft shop one day so this is in honour of him. All items can be found on Folksy Featuring from top left: Garden apron gift set , personalised garden wall sign , Fused glass bird bath/feeder by Whimsical fusing, Ceramic veg markers , Garden Birds journal , Handmade garden planter , forget me not flower pot , Copper rain catcher by GWP silver.

I’m taking part in weekend. The perfectionism is strong in me so trying to sell things which don’t quite meet my exceptionally high standards gives me a bit of an involuntary eye twitch! 😆However so far I’ve listed 3 items and might manage to add more over the weekend. I won’t sell anything if I keep them hidden in a box so here’s to letting my guard down a bit and just having a go! There are lots of lovely bargains to be had from other Folksy sellers too.

Nearly Valentine’s Day and a heart order has come in. Easy to pop in the post, I can send direct to your loved one with a gift bag worded with “Just for you” or “With love” and can include a personal message on a gift tag.

A little bit of colour on a dreary February morning. I love spotting these catkins, one of the very first signs of nature waking up and signalling that spring isn’t too far away. I’m really keen to start designing some new things but am currently taking some time to have a better understanding of SEO (how to get my products seen in my online shops) I’m doing a mini course from .makers.hub which is so far giving me some useful pointers! Not much point creating pretty things if no one sees them!
