🎄 TOO EARLY? 🎄

Well… that rather depends on who you ask. 😂

There are still autumn leaves to fall, pumpkins to appear and an entire Harvest to enjoy…

…but downstairs at Wickwood Cottage, the seasons have a habit of getting a little muddled.

Because when you make everything yourself, Christmas has to begin long before Christmas does.

And right now, that means Gingerbread. 🤎

Melting wax. Fragrance in the air. Little gingerbread shapes appearing one after another as the Wax Maker quietly begins preparing for Christmas at the Cottage.

They’re not ready to come out and play just yet, November is their time, but we’re no longer hiding what happens behind the scenes while we wait for launch day.

So yes.

It’s September.

We’re making Gingerbread.

And the cottage currently smells suspiciously festive. 😂🎄

🌿 THE POCKET PRINTS HAVE ARRIVED!

And we’re rather excited about these…

Our newest batch of Wickwood Pocket Prints has arrived at the cottage and there’s been a little change this time.

Turn them over and you’ll now find the Wickwood Cottage logo on the reverse.

It’s a tiny detail, but one we really wanted to add because these little pieces of art are becoming something rather more than simply prints. 💚

Each one belongs to a particular chapter of Wickwood.

Some are created alongside one of our main wax melt collections, others accompany our monthly Fun Fragrances, which means although you may spot a few unfamiliar ones in this photograph, they aren’t available just yet. 👀

Their release will coincide with the wax collection or fragrance they were created for.

A scent.
A sketch.
A little piece of the story to keep.

And with our mark now on the back, we’re hoping that over time they’ll become lovely little collectibles from the World of Wickwood, something you can gather as each new collection arrives.

So yes… some of these are currently under strict instructions to remain in their pile until their proper moment comes. 😂

But we couldn’t resist showing you.

It’s Sunday so no shop today but…

The moulds are lined up, the wax maker is at his bench and another batch is about to begin.

There is, however, one small clue hiding in today’s little clip… 👀

We know what he’s making.

Rob clearly knows what he’s making.

But all you’re getting is….

Good morning lovelies 👋

Something is stirring in Wickwood… ✏️🍄

It began with a nose.

Then came a rather suspicious-looking collar, a mushroom tucked where mushrooms probably ought not to be tucked, and what appears to be a collection of buttons belonging to someone with very particular ideas about tailoring.

Beyond that, I can tell you very little.

Mostly because the rest of him hasn’t arrived yet.

He is currently emerging, one pencil mark at a time, from somewhere deep within Wickwood and judging by what has appeared so far, I suspect he may be quite a character.

His belly, I should add, remains largely theoretical.

For now. 😂

I saw the strangest thing drift past the Cottage this afternoon…

Tall as anything, all hat and hems, carrying a tiny lantern with a moth fluttering faithfully beside it.

She didn’t say a word.
Didn’t even appear to have a face, if I’m entirely truthful.

Just floated quietly by as though a seven-foot mysterious woman wandering around Wickwood was the most ordinary thing in the world.

I did consider following her.

Then I considered that I quite like being alive.

Afternoon folks 👋

We’re going to leave the Friday Night Live tonight (4th September) in favour of removing this pooch from the shop to relocate him home!!

If he steels one more item from Lady Dinkles’ table, he will have a price tag attached to his tale and subsequently place on a shelf!! (kidding of course)

We’ll see you tomorrow at 10am

Calling all Crafters, card makers and curious creators… 🍂✨

There’s something rather lovely about sitting down with a blank page and absolutely no idea what it’s going to become.

A stamp here. A little ink there. A scrap of paper, a scribbled thought, perhaps something slightly witchy creeping into the corners as October draws nearer… 🌙🕯️🍄

Our stamping supplies aren’t just for card making. They’re for journals, sketchbooks, memory keeping, handmade tags, little bits of collage, or simply an hour spent creating for no other reason than you fancied making something.

No rules. No masterpiece required.

Just ink, paper, imagination… and perhaps a tiny bit of autumn magick. 🍁

We’re open today 10–5 if you fancy coming in for a rummage.

Step in. Slow down.
Create something.

I have to say, our harvest collection is going down well… great response from visitors over the last couple of days!!
No shop tomorrow (Thursday) but we’ll be back on FriYAY!!

Lady Dinkles pouring wax? Surely that’s the wax makers job?

Usually yes, but then we multi task round here…

🍂 Every Harvest has a story…

This morning we opened the gates to Orchardmere and welcomed The Harvest back to Wickwood Cottage.

But Orchardmere was never created simply as a collection of autumn fragrances.

There’s a little more to it than that. 🍎

It’s a place of laden orchard trees, long tables, glowing lanterns and neighbours gathering as the light begins to fade. A reminder to notice what we have, share what we can, and be grateful for the small things that make a life feel full.

And, of course, somewhere amongst it all you might spot a certain little hedgehog called Nettlewick… 🦔🍂

Tonight, rather than tell you the whole tale here, we’d love you to wander a little further into the World of Wickwood and discover Orchardmere for yourself.
