We’ve worked with a lot of different timbers over the years, but American walnut is always a firm favourite.

It’s a more premium option, but one we think is well worth considering. Naturally darker and warmer than many of the timbers we use, its distinctive grain brings plenty of character to a piece.

It also works beautifully against more neutral interiors, introducing warmth and depth without having to change everything else around it.

Not every staircase earns attention by demanding it.

At first glance, this design feels calm and understated. Look a little closer and you’ll find the engineering that makes it possible. A full steel core sits hidden beneath solid timber cladding, creating a unique stacked tread design.

The rich stained timber gives the staircase real presence, while allowing it to sit naturally within the home.
