If you pay peanuts you get monkeys 🙈!!
We always knock the neighbours if cars are in the way or we kindly ask if we can sheet up with clean sheets so it’s protected.
I always say there’s two prices in the trade one who will respect your property, turn up on time & date agreed, do a fantastic job, clean up after the job so your leaving it how you found it.
(That’s what we do on every job)
Or
You will get a monkey 🐵 no preparation, throw some paint about, (retail paint) quote you a really good price and do a shxt job!!
Some people are happy they saved a few quid but 9 times out of 10 you would have wished you hadn’t accepted the quote!!
Moral of the story is do your research on the company, recommendations can be good but not always!! your friends/neighbours might not have a higher standard as your self😉
Check out there work on social meadia platforms, speak to your neighbours or friends, ask them how they were or even do you mind if I have a look, check reviews etc
Just bare in mind minimum wage keeps rising!! So tradesman have to up there prices for labour, materials are up!! Also don’t forget a tradesman gets no holiday pay, no bank holidays paid for, no sick pay, no contribution off anyone to help towards pension!! Tax, National insurance, public liability, advertising, work clothes, an accountant to pay for, pricing up jobs after a days work!! Sometimes you don’t get the job!! Working out the quotations spending time to order materials. The list is endless!!
Then you have the costs of running your vehicle, tax, fuel, insurance, wear & tear.
All this has to be included in the price!!
You then realise why so many shops close the doors!! Rent, rates, gas, electricity it’s hard!!!
Pay cheap pay twice 💰💰💰💰
