A recent board made from some spalted beech saved from being firewood, this was made for my sons boss for their social media posts, bow ties are English elm and any cracks filled with black resin, the spalted goodness pinged nicely by organic rapeseed oil. Thanks to Paul of Paul Harrison design and print for laser etching their logo.

I figured I needed a new kuksa, found a flawless piece of sallow and got to it, nice undercut to save sloshing, dried with no cracks, but when tested with hot water she popped, a few expletives later, I dug out some pine resin glue, a hot spoon managed to squish resin all the way through the crack and now I have a working kuksa with more character win win.

Well here’s a reclaimed oak tea light holder, nice and chunky with the live edge showing, it’s got a hand planed finish and is treated with a beeswax linseed oil mix, going out of the door to a none fb customer in the morning, a little xmas present for his wife.
