We’ve just had a couple of very fine days, so not a lot done today in the craft room again. That’ll all change tomorrow when the bad weather comes in again. I shall be back at it making lots of Harris Tweed goods and Shetland wool accessories. These little baskets arrived at their destination today and I’m thrilled the customer likes them. I will be making many more over the coming few weeks for customer orders and the upcoming Christmas markets. They make ideal gifts. If you’d like to order any, please drop me a message

Good morning all

I’m slowly getting back to it. Had a week off with my partner enjoying some down time, (and finalising my tax return which was painful). After a successful season here this year, I think I may well hand it all over to an accountant next year. Too much stress for me. Anyway, did a quick drop of stock up to the cafe this morning. If there are still visitors about, please do pop in and say hello. They do a mean breakfast as some were enjoying this morning. The Wobbly Dog Cafe are now open for winter hours (Thursday, Friday & Saturdays). We followed this with a lovely walk on one of our favourite beaches. You can see the bad weather is on its way in again. We had the best of it this morning, thank goodness

WELL THAT’s A WRAP!
Today was the last craft market for the summer season. I’m exhausted 😂. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities to have met so many lovely folk, and especially those who made purchases. Today especially was a big surprise. Thank you also to all the new followers who have joined me here recently. I’m taking a bit of time out now for rest and catching up with paperwork, a bit of gardening and much needed quality time with my partner and the pooch. I’ll be back soon with details of the online shop, an ‘end of season sale’ as well as opening up the Order Book for Christmas. Bless you all. Speak soon.

Good Morning all from a very wet and windy Isle of Lewis today. I had a super day yesterday down in Harris. Sold all the tweed bar four cushions and two storage baskets. A few woolly goods went to new homes, as far afield as Washington DC. Thank you so much. Lovely to meet you all even just for a chat. It was my first market back after 8 weeks off and it was great to catch up with my fellow crafters. Feeling very buoyed up here. Tomorrow I’m in the Town Hall in Stornoway for the last market of the summer season. I only have woolly goods left including a few hats. Busy here trying to finish off a couple of headbands and some handwarmers.

Hello all,

Tomorrow Saturday 26th September, I’ll be back in my happy place at the Artisan Craft market from 10-4. I’ll have quite a bit with me including some new hats and hand warmers. Hope to see you there at the Community Centre, Tarbert, Isle of Harris. I’ll be joining many other talented crafters at the centre and I’m really excited because it’s my first market since mid July. Finished this new headband earlier. It’ll be on the table for sale on Saturday. Not quite sure what to make of it myself but I’m hoping someone will like it enough to buy it. It’s one of those “love it or hate” vibes with me: MARMITE! springs to mind. What do you think? It’s 4inches/10cms deep and approximately 21cm wide. Should fit an average head size but you won’t know until you’ve tried it on.

Good morning

Damp cold, wet and miserable here this morning up here on the Isle of Lewis. Definitely porridge weather. Two new hats almost finished. Will be on sale this Saturday at the Artisan Market in Tarbert, Harris. You’ll be needing these to keep your lugs warm
