Hello everyone,
I didn’t even get the chance to advertise today’s wee jaunt down to Harris. Such a fabulous event full of fun and laughter, and above all great sales again. I enjoyed meeting some lovely folk today from as far afield as Norway and Germany. Thank you especially to the visitors who shared their stories and to those who bought goods from my table. I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday here in the Outer Hebrides. I will be back again next Saturday for another fun filled outing. In the meantime I’ve got some serious catching up to do, especially on the knitting 🧶 side of the table

I’ve often been asked if I make sweaters. Yes, I hand knit for myself and my partner, but I don’t know how to do it on a knitting machine competently. Therefore, I can’t offer it as a service here. Hand knitted sweaters normally take up to six weeks depending on gauge and size and would prove costly to the buyer, mostly because of my labour. Sadly, I simply don’t have the luxury of time. I can recommend knitters for both hand knitted and machine knitted sweaters, but as I don’t have the consent of the knitters to publish here, you’ll be best to ask me privately. So I’ll leave you with this for now: my favourite sweater of all time. The Marius ❤️

Delivery Day.
Fabulous morning out up to the Wobbly Dog Cafe to deliver more new stock. A few Woollies added in this time. Great coffee and cake with friends. If you haven’t been to the cafe (wobblydog.scot), not only does Jai make fabulous cakes, he can turn a mean breakfast too. Dropping back to the charity shop by Cross Stores, we picked up a few items we liked. Then we dropped down to Shawbost Weavers to finally meet Catherine and Reg Amor, picking up a piece of pre-ordered Amor Tweed, and spending a bit more on two further pieces. If you haven’t visited, they have a lovely little shop on site which I highly recommend stopping by

Enjoying a super little craft market today here at the Clan Macquarie centre up at Borve in the Isle of Lewis. As usual there are some super craft stalls with a vast array of crafts for sale, as well as a lovely little cafe on site. Do pop in and say hello if you’re out and about.

Good afternoon all,

ORDER BOOK NOW CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER

You may know that I am supporting the Wobbly Dog Cafe up at Ness in the north of the island, and the sales have been incredible so far. And if you haven’t been there yet, you are missing out on some seriously wonderful cakes. (Wobblydog.scot).

As the silly season is now underway with lots of trips down to Harris for craft markets (Handmade Harris Craft Markets & The Artisan Markets), and four Agricultural Shows booked as well, I regret that I won’t be able to take any new orders until further notice. Thank you all who have placed orders so very much for supporting me. Those currently accepted will be honoured. I hope to re-open the order book again in the autumn in time for Christmas.

After the last three days of wonderful weather, it’s now chucking it down outside. So it’s back to the craft room. Lots of Harris Tweed goods being made and finished, and I hope to deliver this all with the knitwear to the Wobbly Dog Cafe (wobblydog.scot) next Tuesday.

Hello, after two busy days in the garden, we gave ourselves a day off. We went hunting for the machair, down on the south west corner of the island to the Uig peninsula and Great Bernera. No machair to speak of but the beaches were stunning in all the sunshine. I give you Reef, Cliff, Ardroil and B***a. Some of our favourites. Apologies for the dog barking his head off. He spotted a lovely Labrador below him

EXCITING NEWS!!

As from today some of my products are on sale at the Wobbly Dog Cafe https://www.facebook.com/share/1DeTQu2Z2B/?mibextid=wwXIfr up at Ness, here on the Isle of Lewis. This is a super little cafe that produces fine coffee and amazing cakes. It is also very dog friendly.

At the moment you’ll find my Harris Tweed goods there, but hopefully by the end of next week I will have supplied some knitted fair isle goods too (except hats, as I always keep these for the Craft Market stalls)
