After a lot of thought, I’ve decided I won’t be offering flowers for Mother’s Day this year.
Mother’s Day (and the week leading up to it) is, by far, the busiest weeks of the year for me flower wise, and this year I really want to be able to spend the day simply being with my own children and family. More than ever it feels important to me while they’re the age they are, especially given starting school is on the horizon.
I’m so grateful for all the support my customers show throughout the year, and I’m very much still here creating seasonal flowers, workshops and special orders as usual, just this year, along with wanting to be with my own children, and not mark the day with my mum and mother-in-law the weekend before and after, there are just a few too many things that are going to make it difficult for me to do and to the standard I always want to do too.
I will be flowering the weekend before and after if you’d like pre/post Mother’s Day flowers, just not the actual weekend itself.
